Secondly, I got that "sinking" feeling as the episode progressed, they're going to end her....

The show is about ambition....and it kills sometimes.

Christopher Heyerdahl is a great actor, he plays the swede. He played the wraith Todd in Stargate: Atlantis and two roles on the sci fi series Sanctuary as well as Alastair on "Supernatural."

I'm interested in a Bluebird opinion.

Series start with a 4-5 season story arc, killing off a driving character early isn't something done lightly.

I suspect she watches.

On October 29, 2012, AMC renewed Hell On Wheels for a third season, consisting of 10 episodes. The show's creators Joe and Tony Gayton will no longer be involved in the day to day production. Following the departure of John Shiban the renewal was put on hold until a replacement could be found.

Surprising turn of events.
