heads up people Password was changed

Just a heads up, my password was changed somehow. I attempted to login and it had asked me for a username and password, which by the way I have saved as a cookie (automatically remembers my login and password). So I attempted to login with my username and password and it said that it wasn't valid. Don't know if it is a big deal but just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

I requested a link for them to change it. I am only one who uses this computer. As far as someone hacking my machine I highly doubt it. I am behind a firewall, my win2000 os is up to date, and the registery and stuff looks clean.

perhaps you misremembered your password... the cookie thing gets deleted every so often.. not sure why.. but it happens..

though then again perhaps the system reset your password

Fair enough, but if I were malicously trying to get into your account I wouldnt just change the password, I would change your e-mail address to in your profiel so when you requested a reset it was sent to a different address. Suffice it to say I dont think your account has been compromised and if it has it was by someone who did it half assed.


As for your system being behind a firewall and patches up to date, dont be fooled into thinking your safe.

Listen with a operating system like windows believe me I don't feel safe. But I definately hear what your saying about thinking I am protected even though the os is up to date.

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up. But I don't think anyone else is having this problem, so it could just have been me.
