Hey bro. In your opinion, what do you think the percentage increase is for us getting our stuff opened now as oppose to before?

the mail is a game of chance, there is so much coming and going that not evry thing can be checked but because of all the stuff going down packages small and large are being checked more carefullly n if any postal worker is suspious about any package they have the right to open it or xray it if the xray is not effective do to the package being wrapped in carbon paper they will open it. orders should not be huge and should definitly be shipped in small quinities. the post office is taking this very serously both over seas ans domestic so be careful. evry postal worker is requierd to where glovesw and mask and look closely at packages. so opening a package that is thought to be suspious is now allowed without police being present

I thought domestics would be more leery of weird letters, not necessarily packages

On the up side, most postal workers might just say fuck it and send it on without opening, for fear of exposure to something...maybe:D

you have to remember anthrax isn't the only thing postal workers are worried about plus since they are examining the mail closer if they see a package theres a better chance that they will open it. and its pretty much no more letters from customs it almost automatic that they will come for you. on the up side i feel that its not all that bad since i am waiting for something myself

Godfather........I think you're missing something here, if a postal worker opens one of "our" packages, that's the best thing that can happen (besides us actually receiving the package of course)
Cause if a postal worker opens up a package and finds a bunch of juice, nothing more can be done. The "evidence" so to speak has been compromised by "non law enforcement". Think about it........after a postal worker has opened a package he can claim finding just about anything. So can any customs agent for that matter.........but customs agents, because they're federal law enforcement, are automatically regarded as NEVER lying. There's way too much gray area regarding a regular postal worker opening a package. If they discover gear they'll probably either throw it away or turn it over to the authorities.....who will than pretty much have to throw it away themselves, although they might put your address in their files for future reference.

The chance it wouldn't hold up is enough to make it not worth it. If it was some HUGE FUCKING order.........than maybe they would chance it. What they would probably do is package it back up and tell the postal worker to keep his mouth shut........than they'd wait for the guy to receive the package. Small packs though.......not worth it, not worth it at all. Hell, it's not worth it now alot of times......they just send you a seizure letter, which for all intensive purposes is just an "aww fuck it" move, cause who's going to claim the package?? Now they're also going to have to contend with the aspect of postal workers tampering with packages......it would definitely be too much of a pain in the ass now.

Only 10% of workers even wear the masks and gloves in our facility. The main goal is to get the mail out as fast as possible and go home. A "suspicious" package is one that is leaking tons of a powdery substance. The chances of a domestically sent package (outside New York and Washington) being opened by a postal employee is about 0%. We simply don't have time for that.

That's exactly what I was thinking, thanks for that.

So on International packages are they checked and opened by Customs or USPS?

Customs

I have received from both the UK and China in the past week. Neither package was delayed at all.:D I don't think the mail is as bad as people are making it out to be.
