HCG use post-cycle

I apologize for not being able to get my hands on the full article, but here is a snippet showing the use of HCG for post-cycle recovery.

A case is presented of a young competitive body-builder who abused anabolic steroid drugs and developed profound symptomatic hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism. With the help of prescribed testosterone (Sustanon) he stopped taking anabolic drugs, and later stopped Sustanon also. Hypogonadism returned, but was successfully treated with weekly injections of human chorionic gonadotropin for three months. Testicular function remained normal thereafter on no treatment. The use of human chorionic gonadotropin should be considered in prolonged hypogonadotrophic hypogonadism due to anabolic steroid abuse.

Excellent Question

I have received some feedback on this. Some folks claim improved recovery when using HCG during their cycle--smaller doses like 1000-3000 USP Units weekly rather than 5000-7000 weekly. This, in no way, is a scientific study, just subjective observation. But it is an interesting thought. You are basically bypassing the HP part of the axis and making the testes work at a low level rather than shutting down.

I have found that using 500ius for 2 weeks mid-cycle and the last 2 weeks, helped me recover much faster. Again, no scientific study, just real world experience
