Having the gland removed.

Hey Guys,

My mom's a nurse and she's friends with some doctors and it looks like insurance is gonna cover having my glands removed under my nips...actually probably just the left one because that's the only one that gives me trouble. Anyone have this done? I don't think he's going to remove much tissue, because there isn't much there, he's probably just going to take out the lump. Is this painful? Do they do this under local or do they put you under? How long do you have to quit lifting? They don't put a drain on you or anything do they? Any info would be appreciated.

I heard that it is under local and you have to quit lifting for 7-10 days , but 15 days for chest

I had both mamys cut out. I was hoping he would take out some of the tissue as well, but not much of that was removed. My gyno was caused by wacked out hormones during puberty, not gear.

Experience as far as surgery went was no big deal. Not being able to eat 12 hrs before was the worst part (due to general anesthesia being used...I get bitchy when I'm hungry). Chest was tender for about 5 days. I didn't even bother to start lifting untill third week of recovery, which went ok. Couldn't go heavy untill the sixth week, though. There was a wierd kinda pulling sensation in the left pec that persisted for around 12 weeks, but that did finally go away (doc said that was normal).

There were (and still are) indentations left behind both nips, as well as a gereral numbness in the nipple area that is still there. I was told that there was a danger of the indentations causing a caved in look, but that hasn't been a problem with me.

Chest looks pretty normal now. In fact, after a light cycle of omnas (500mg/wk), quite a bit of what I thought to be permanent tissue around the nip area is now gone. As prone to gyno as I am, this is great news since my first cycle of only 250/wk of durateston made the gyno worse (before I had the glands removed of course).

Hopes this helps bro
