having injection problems

i've been using oil based gear for several years now. on occation, after i inject some of the oil would come back up to the skin. this never happend very offten so i didn't really worry about it.

during my current cycle i'm having this happen about 90% if time. i'm wondering what would cause this if it has never been a problem before.

i'm using a 22g 1 1/2" pin. my body fat is about what it always is, so i'm thinking the oil is still getting deep enough. it's usually only a small drop that escapes, but you know how we gear heads are. . . we hate to waste any!

i wasn't going to worry about it too much until today. today, the oil kept comming out. i would think prbly about 1/4 of the injection.

any thoughts on this? should i move up to a 2" pin? keep in mind, this has never been a problem before. i completely insert the pin (the full 1 1/2 inches) and my body fat has not gone up to where my ass would be so fat that the pin would no longer be long enough.

would using a smaller guage help? maybe the injection cannal is too big and the oil is escaping because of that? should i try a 23g ?

I would try a smaller gauge. I use 25 to shoot.

you could do what Golfer says

and use a 25 or even a 26 gauge.
As for the oil coming out. Maybe you pull the needle out too fast.
Try to inject and wait a few sec before removing the needle.
What you experience too often is not normal.

I use a 25 1/2 for the butt or a 26 0,45 inch for delts and arms and oil never comes out.
So the length of the needle is not the issue here.

Also DO NOT shoot too fast. This could be your problem. When shooting too fast the oil gets incapsulated (nice for abcesses) and could be pushed outside.

Next time try to do at least 45 sec when shooting only 2 cc and see what gives. Using a 22 g is one of the reasons you shoot to fast. With a 25 or 26 you need some force and automatically the oil will go in slower and better.

I've got the same problem, I use 23g 1.1/4 pins, quite a lot of oil comes out (I injected 3cc today) there must be a way to mimimize this?

You could try pulling the skin to the side before sticking and letting go after pulling out. The shift will in theory close the "tunnel".

This used to happen to me....until:

1> Inject into muscle, not fat! (I DO NOT inject into my glutes anymore, all quads...take advantage of the new higher concentraction gear (ex TT)).

2> Use a smaller gauge

3> pull out needle very slowly

4> keep your finger over the injection site and mssage the oil in.

5> don't let the oil run out!

get 18g drawing pins to suck the gear up fast, and then put the 25g pin back on and shoot. The 25g makes it so you cannot inject quickley, so have patience. I shoot everything with a 25g pin without any probelms, even primo witch is the thickest i have come across

Concerning injecting into fat and not the muscle;

When you inject in the glute, Am I right in thinking that after the needle penetrates the skin and enters the fat layer, you feel no pain or anything in particular, but once you push it in further, you should feel a dull pain while it enters and remains in the muscle tissue.

Does this sound correct?

If the pins hard going in theres probably scar tissue-happens every 1000 shots or so-that can cause oil to flow back.

unless i have over 1.5 inches of fat on my ass, the injections are deep enough.

what i'm doing now is injecting waiting a few seconds then quickly removing the needle. i then put my finger over the injection site as fast as i can and massage the area.

so far this has worked. i'm not even getting that drop of blood i usually get.

you guys all have excellent ideas/advice. if this isn't a solution, i will try everything.
