Have you been fixed?

If so, why? Does it hurt? Did you heal fast? If not, why not?

I've been thinking about it lately. I don't want anymore kids with anyone and this will take care of it forever.

nope my boyfriend had an ingrown hair on his package so there was no fixing this weekend.. maybe tuesday

My husband is fixed....says it didn't hurt really..... actually, the surgery took, literally, 12 minutes.....the paperwork took longer..... he kept the ice pack on the area all weekend & has had no pain or problems....

Did it cuz we didn't want kids...

i wanted my x to do it but he said no sharp object is getting close to his nads. So I just temp fixed myself up

Funny. With you, I'd just figure that you'd take care of the problem yourself with gardening shears.

I will have no problem with having it done after we decide were done having kids. Its a a very easy surgery and a better chance of reversal if we go insane later on.

I was fixed several years ago. Complications are a bitch and I had to have it done twice and I was out of work for 3 months and I am self-employed. One percent of men have complications from this surgery.

I am a one percenter...yea!

Humor, you and your family are like me and my crew, oddest damned medical problems :worried:

Hubby had it done before I met him. He's among the 99%. Doesn't recall the pain and he's really not the stoic type  In fact, he recalls the hot nurse who prepped his equipment better than any pain.

so does anything come out when you bust a nut?
Yep. You still orgasm/ejaculate just the same as before the surgery. The only difference is that once you've healed up and the waiting time is over, you KNOW there's no :sperm: (but i swear to you, there's no difference in the ejaculate, not in the way it looks, consistency, anything else). We can't even see the surgical scar.

Otherwise it's all the same.

You've got that right! If it can happen, it will happen to us. I can recall every last painful moment of having the vasectomy from getting stuck in my sack with a needle to deaden the area to laying on the table for 3 hours and only getting half of the procedure done to being stitched up loosely and bleeding for three weeks while wearing Kotex feminine napkins to catch all of the blood and going back and having it done again to the infections to the breaking of the stitches twice to more infections....oh yea....I am not a good one to talk to about a vasectomy.

My friends felt so sorry for me that they decided to buy a grapefruit and all of them signed it and they gave it to me. Of course they should have bought a canteloupe because that was about the size of my nuts during this process. I wish I had taken pictures of it because I could have probably bragged of having the biggest balls on Elite. :D

My daughter contracted Cat Scratch Disease from a kitten and it took her about 3 years to get over it.

Weird stuff all the time happens to us. Makes it hard to get out of bed in the mornings to see what awaits us. :D

Y'know, when I hear things like that I always say the same thing to the person who's suffering with the bad luck:

What f*cking gypsy did you piss off?!?

lol....I never get invited to the good stuff anymore. :(

bro, im really sorry. but according to our records and your own account, the probability factor of a major catastrophy happening in your presence, is overwhelming...plus i live really far away :) . SoKlu has great BBQ's and i think is more suitable for people like yourself....<cough> uuhmm. ;)

I'm telling you, the stuff that happens to us medically is crazy. I was working one night and I slipped and fell and landed square on my butt. It wasn't that bad of fall and I was already kneeling down or kind of squatting down and I wound up with L4 L5 herniated discs. Nothing but painful ever since and limits me as to what I can and cannot do.

I would like to have surgery but I am too scared to have it done fearing that I will be worse off so I just endure the pain and work through it.

Maybe that is the reason I like BBQ so much. :D

mmom....I don't know what gypsy I did piss off but it seems he holds a grudge for a very long time. :(

I am still fully functioning but am making plans to get neutered :eek2:

The scary part is I remember how sad a dog looks after you rob him of his nuts!

The idea of any type of sharp object coming near my boys scares the shit outta me!!!!

Isn't there a pill or something!!!

I will never do it, there have been some scary case studies where vasectomy has been linked to low testosterone. I know it doesn't sound intuitive, but check the research.

BRO....SERIOUS NOTE HERE: dont let it go long term IF it is bothering you. if the nerve paths are impinged you will start to loose leg muscles...they will atrophy (worse case scenerio)...however, having a herniation in the L4 L5 range is very common and most of the time- it is not treated surgically. if your legs start to be involved, give me a shout in a PM bro. :)

I hear what you are saying. My best friend is a medical doctor and he has advised me to pass on surgery right now as surgery will only help if I am having leg pain and numbness. So far, it hasn't gotten there except for rare days when I do have that.

He told me to treat it with medicine for the time being and when it gets worse then we will look into surgery. He has told me of an experimental surgery that is being performed of removing the damaged discs and replacing them with a manmade discs made of a spongy material that mimics the original ones and has a very long lifespan. Don't know much more than that.

So far it is experimental and as far as I know hasn't made it to the free market but he expects in a couple of years or three, it will be made available. Hopefully it will and I will look in to that. For the time being, I get ESIs to relieve the pain and try and keep my hamstrings loose and do my back exercises.

Those really help but sometimes the pain is great regardless.
