What does everyone think about the whole situation that happened in Florida? I agree with Bush's decision to send them back. We have enough problems here with illegal immigrants we dont need anymore. Plus there is nothing wrong with sending away people that have no skills and would make no positive contribution to society except drain our resources.

We should send them back, there really isn't an argument not to. I suggest any liberals who support having illegal immigrants here go tell that to the familys of the sniper victims who got killed by one.

Exactly. The news keeps repeating that they were getting sent back because of a law signed under Bush. In the same article it has people calling the law racist....Its a good law, why have non english speaking people from the poorest part of the western hemisphere (some make less than $1.00/day) live in our country when we know they cannot support themselves and would eventually need govt assistance.

Since you are not an American Indian, then who are you to judge them? Your ancestors also emigrated to the US somehow. I am sure the people that were here said the same thing about your ancestors...was that fair? I do not think so.

All the more reason to keep them all out. The american people such as myself will be better off without all these foreigners running around doing god knows what. My wallet will also be fuller if i didnt pay for their education and healthcare.

I think after your family has been living here for over 100 years you are no longer an immigrant. I dont give a shit if they are illegal or legal they are bad for this country.

They found a body of a white man who lived in America over 10 thousand years ago. Maybe whites where the first ones to live in America. Get with the times.

p.s. Just because our ancestors may (see above) be from other countires doesn't make us equal to all other races. Why don't you read up on the IQs, literacy, AIDS etc of the illegal aliens coming in from other countries and notice the huge difference?

Legal skilled immigrants that can contribute to our society yes, unskilled drains on society...no.
As crazy as it sounds, my ancestors came to this country with skills. Whether it was laying bricks, cutting hair, or building carraiges, they all had trades. If you look back when most of our ancestors came here over 100 years ago, many had a trade and contributed to the building of our country. There also wasnt free healthcare and wellfare for these people.

These haitians come form an extremely poor country. Many have no education and no ability to speak english. How do you expect them to get jobs and survive above the poverty level here when they cannot even read and write (in their own language).

Our country needs a stricter immigration policy. Times change, things arent the way they were 100 years ago. Right?
 
The big diffrence is that us europeans worked HARD to conform to the American society and contribute to it. 99% of these immirgrants just leech off wellfare the whole lives. That is their *plan.* They have no desire, unlike our ancestors, to contribute to our society. Their plan is clear, leech off of us and our system while bringing their culuture over to the U.S.

American Indians immigrated to America from Asia. they too are immigrants, only they were in America before the Europeans, evidently.

current Americans were in the US before the Florida Haitians. if you are arguing a superior right of Indians based on time of residence, then current Americans would have a similar superior right to the Haitians.

your argument is absurd. you are saying that people who have cultivated and built up and developed American land and have built the greatest technological structure in history have no right to determine who they share it with, because nomads occupied the land before they did. that is true for every society on Earth.

even if the Baring Strait were land, they could still have exited the continent of Asia. continents do not need to be separated by water. North and South America are two continents joined by a strip of land.

If there are any hot haitian chics amongst them they should be allowed to stay and at a later date pose in playboy as "The Women of Haiti".

I am not against immigration, just the ridiculous argument 2thick is parroting, that Americans have no right to decide who they live with and who shares the wealth they have created, simply because they were not the first to step on American soil...

fwiw, I have nothing against Haitians, and nothing against anyone else that wants to bust their asses and sacrifice to succeed and make a better life for themselves.

however, I agree with those that say the US should not be a global welfare office - sure it's horrible these people live in a state of chaos and massive crime, but so do 2 or 3 billion other people - the magnitude of the disparity is beyond what Americans can fix, now.

60% of the people there have AIDS. Of the 200+ people that came yesterday, that means atleast 120 could potentially have the Disease. They come to our country, and all of a sudden they start to get free health care (hospitals cannot turn you away) and again it costs us money. Hot hatian girl or not, if she has AIDS, i aint touching that.

I think i would build a boarder fence around my house and when they go to climb over i would shoot them in the head. That would be the ultimate target practice, trying to shoot an illegal immigrants brain.
