Hate-
Hatred anger and rage a furious flame
Licking the body and searing the soul
Fires of contempt and agony burn within the mind
Painful spires of anger pierce up through the self
Evil thoughts as a teeming flood overtake me
Malcontent memories resurface to fuel the pyre
Fleeting sanity whisked away on wisps of smoke
Rage fueled by the giant forest of discontent
Burns longer and hotter than the smelting furnace
Direction lost and air choked in the blazing inferno
Senses tortured then embraced by flame and ash
Blistered and pealing becomes the heart
Towering flame ignites the very sky
Stars ashen and devoid fall asunder
Pitting hellfire to heaven’s gates
Allies lost in the encompassing tides of hate
Anger like an old friend found again
Starts anew its comforting familiarity
Bitterness beckons the return of solitude
The armitage and refuge of singularity is sought
Paths wandered en mass split
With single figures filing in silhouette
Against the molten reality of the world
Dark cast against the burning glory of pure feeling
Ways forgotten are re-found in the night
Walls torn down are rebuilt within the body
Protective measures employed to defend the flames
Thoughts like a bellows fan the flames higher
All is lost within the scalding embrace of unconscious acceptance
Old friends united are re-forged as one
By the Smith’s striking blows of reaffirmation
Cooling winds and rains cannot prevail
The molten landscape reshaped by bitter toils
Converge and flow over the tattered remains
Of heartfelt longing and desire
Volcanic flow emboldens fires advance
Soon the new is destroyed so old may flourish
Land cooling and reforming as the haggard ridges of remembrance
Timeless allegiances broken and truces revoked
Unleashed heartfelt rage basks in the glory of a new dawn
Anger revived consumes all it touches
Fires pitted against remorse and pity
Cleanse them from the mind
Cruel abandonment divides weak from strong
The path is strewn with lifeless forms
The unjust lay before the all-consuming light
White hot rays, incinerate their form
Lessers taken aback from the path
Clear view regained, voyage resumed
Alone pressing into the blackened dawn
I feel happiness again.
Cheers,
