Has anyone used online fax services?

I've used several, one you pay for which is efa and another from my local newspaper, all have arrived just fine :)

so you just upload say a pdf and it sends it as fax, and then when u get a fax, it sends it to ur email?

With efax it gives you an option to create it or to attach a word, pdf, jpeg, etc file local/cheap ones will only allow you to type stuff in, depending on what you are trying to fax I can google a couple of providers.... I'm installing a game with a customer so have some sporadic time...

I went to faxcompare.com and got some basic info. GoFaxer seemed to have the best deal for me, but I dunno if they let me attach docs.

EDIT: they do let u attach. I think I might try this one out.

I just bought an all in one scanner/printer/copier and then signed/scan the doc them email it.
I didn't trust the service or the receiving fax machine for something so important that it needed to be signed/faxed in the first place.

I have one actually, but no land line... Plus it's a bed scanner, so its a bitch to send faxes with...hmmmmm...

Same here.. Except I have a land line but don't need it since my all in one isn't a fax machine.

Most all printer/scanners come with document scan software that scans the document from the flatbed into a jpg image at a minimum.

Then you can just email the jpg file, the person on the other end then prints it, and presto - its faxed with no land line or fax machine needed.

Nevermind, I thought you needed an online tax service, I would have suggested TurboTax. See, my eyes, I've been putting castor oil in them.

I have a Canon Image Class fax/copier/printer. Works like a charm. I subscribe to eFax for receiving faxes since I only have one line in my house.

cheap in the long run compared to what kinko's charges for a 7 second fax transmission.
