I've never actually dated two people at a time. Not sure how one would even do that. It also seems like twice the headache.

I never seriously dated more that one, but I was casually dating several at one time in college. Most of them knew each other and were cool with it. Problem is you can't focus on any one of them very much due to time constraints.

yeah i was seeing several women at once. i never lied to any of them, and they each knew that i was seeing other people. the way to do it is to verbalise that youre at a point midway between a relationship and a fling (which is true) and genuinely care about the people you see (which also better be true, or youre an asshole) that you love their company (obviously) but are willing to switch off the sex at any point where you think they, or you, are going to be hurt, and go back to being platonic (which also better be true). it also helps if youre newly out of a hurtful relationship because that is the ultimate cover (every girl understands feeling hurt and not wanting to get into a relationship right away, but liking company) so apart from all of that plus mucho honesty, the most important thing to remember is to never, ever, ever get yourself into a conversation where you are going to talk about where you and the girl "are going with this relationship"...otherwise its inevitable that she is going to follow it through to conclusion, think that she is being used for sex (sex without exclusivity = used. end of story.) and its over.

im great friends with all of the girls i was seeing, except for one, because everytime i see her she flat out tells me that she'll dump her new boyfriend to get with me "seriously" (ie exclusively....whaaaaaaaaat! i. dont. think. so.) which, of course, makes me run out of there faster than ben johnson
