I'd have to be there, but it seems rather excessive use of force by the police... I would assume the longshoreman were the ones being inconvienced and they were not happy with police action... particularly since 6 of them were shot.

FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND THEY WERE ON PRIVATE PROPERTY (AS REPORTED IN THE NEWS). ANYWAY, THEY WERE TRYING TO STOP SUPPLIES FROM GETTING SHIPPED TO OUR TROOPS!!! HOW FUCKING DUMB IS THAT.

THE POLICE DID GET ROUGH THOUGH. THEY STARTED SHOOTING AT THE PEOPLE WAITING TO GO TO WORK AT THE DOCKS. I COULD GIVE A SHIT LESS ABOUT THE PROTESTORS THAT WERE SHOT WITH THE RUBBER BULLETS AND BEAN BAGS.

While they are merely exercising their AMERICAN RIGHTS to protest, I would say if most of these people had something better to do, they would be doing something better.

1. What was the justification for opening up on these people in such a way that at least 6 innocent bystanders were shot.

2. Why could they not just arrest them? I think even tear gas to disperse them may have been more humane...there is a good chance that that girl had some of her teeth knocked out.

fuck these people. these people ARE anti-american, because they were trying to stop much needed supplies from being sent to our troops. they were attempting to put military lives in jeopardy, by not allowing the materials they need to get the job done, to reach them while they are fighting the war.

did it ever occur to these people that they could be responsible for the deaths of men and women in uniform by preventing them to have the things they need?!

these people should be brought up on fucking charges.

i have a lesser problem with the ones that follow the law
in the manner that they protest...they are mostly deluded about the way the worlds works...you know, the ones that would complain on the police for double parking the patrol car to jump out and chase a robbery suspect...i only dislike this kind...

and access to public places...if they only interrupt the activites of working folks...

but when they interfere with the big money folks,

Rocks and Bolts were thrown at the police while they were trespassing and failed to disperse! No harm no foul! Back in the day they would have mowed them down! So in the end it was nice and PC!

If they were really throwing bolts at the police, than I can see why they did that... I'm still kind of skeptical...2 of the longshoreman witnesses both expressed displeasure about the way police handled it...
