I love Halo but the gameplay is considered too old-school. The 16 man restriction turns people off when they could be playing other 64 man games, but they dont take into accout the smaller maps Halo has.

People seem to have boners over 'team play' and 'objective based' shit like BF1942, but my personal fave is good old Team Death Match.
Kill, kill well and kill often.

counterstrike blows halo out of the water. i played halo on xbconnect, and it just felt stupid. thre single player game was fun tho! i loved the storyline and the beautiful scenery.

You better get used to UT2K4 b/c it's gonna dominate the FPS world. Look at the numbers for the demo alone. There are that many people playing when there is only one map per gametype which means it must be pretty damn good for people to keep playing the same 5 maps over and over. You will eventually bow down to the all might Fragfest of Unreal Tournament

I'l play UT a little... Its requires far less skill than Halo.

Otherwise I'll just play Halo until Halo 2 comes out.

i'm not a big fan of playing online on the pc with a mouse.

i need the 9 buttons, the headset, the everyone has a fast connection, the "not waiting 20 mins to find and start a game bullshit" -- and best of all -- a nice 31" screen to look at.
