Ok so get home at 1:30 am after the release and play this thing till about 5 am got up at noon and played till 3 .... all in all very good game....was def not worth the two year wait but still a very good game..... little pissed that after palying it for as long as i have i am on the last board already

oh and you can no longer zoom with the pistol the evened out the weapons pretty well and the rocket launcher is now homing on vehicles

lot of other things too but those were the two that stuck out in my mind

When i played it for the first 2-3 hours i did not like it. I appreciated the simplicity of the first Halo. But about half way through the Covenant mission i got hooked big time.

Every level since then has been just breathtaking, the scenery, the game AI, the excellent weapons and their placement, it all just worked so seamlessly it was unbelievable. The dual wielding is just great. It's a feature i thought would suck and be useless but found it so friggin addictive i fealt like rambo, not wait, i WAS rambo, but that could be the weed talking. The soundtrack is just out of this world, and i must point out it's a real soundtrack, not computer synthesisers playing cheap tunes in a loop, again the soundtrack is first rate, the story line is first rate also, especially with the heavy religious undertones.

I went from hating it compared to the first, and now the first seems obsolete. It's a great game. Can't wait till i play it on legendary the second time around. It's so radically advanced from the original you have to re-learn it all over again and when you do it will grow on you like a weed and give birth to your new obsession.

umm...ok...you all are going to hate me for this. HALO 2 SUCKS!!! YEAH! I said it...it sucks! All the hype and hoopla over this shit!? Come on! I confirmed my opinions with a few others and they too said that the game wasn't all that!

I'm playing this game with surround sound and most of the time you can't hear shit what the other marines or covenant are saying. And I don't know about you, but I like to play a game and enjoy it. This game makes me downright sick to my stomach! I get all hot and sweaty, dizzy, lightheaded, weak, and damn nauseas!

Why would I want to play a game that gets me all worked up like that?! I want to play a game I can actually enjoy and have fun. Not get sick! To hell with this game.

Sequels are rarely that good. GT and Burnout are the only noteable exceptions, though I wish Polyphony hadn't spent an entire year screwing around online when we all knew it was never going to work!

One thing the XBox does have in it's favour is that the online is solid, but with Microsoft it was never going to be anything else.

Naw it grew on me and it's a good game and in many ways makes the original look obsolete. They did however change too much of the original game "feel" and i feel more like i'm playing quake. But the game is still top notch in all regards.

The only thing that literally BLOWS in this game are the multi player arenas and the way the whole menu and game setup is executed. This part i was like " you have got to be kidding me". So for multiplayer fun it's back to the original.

Once again it's proven that low budget operations make better art, in this case it's games but you can apply it to music or whatever. Once Halo became a phenomena and Bungie got that HUGE budget from MS, the soul went out of the game and was replaced with high budget eye candy. The game is still great but it matured a lot.

Bro...when I was younger, all I played were FPS games like Halo. And I played them for hours without getting sick and all worked up. Now that I'm older, I prefer to play RPGs. Don't get me wrong...Halo is a good game. But I don't think it is a GREAT game!

I just think as time went by FPS aren't all the rage anymore. There are other types of games that are just as kick ass and if not better than a Halo type of game. Look at Star Wars: KOTOR. Thats an RPG game and that son of a bitch won best game of the year last year!
