Yeah... Her Mom is dressing her @ Grandmas and Grandma is bringing her over to go trick or treating for the first time. She was 1.5 last year, too young to understand or even want to go around last year... so we dressed her up and showed her off to everyone in the family.... she reveled at the other kids as well...

This year she'll ring the door bell and everything...

This is my kids first year also. I didn't want to go when my youngest was too young and last year we went to a party instead. They are super excited! I am sure it will be more fun now anyway since they are definitely old enough to understand and appreciate it more. I am NOT looking forward to trying to get them to sleep while they are on a sugar high tonight though! It will be difficult getting my oldest in bed by 9. I am sure she will be a big grouch tomorrow morning getting ready for school.

The cute pose. It was a bitch to even get him in the costume. He cried untill I told him to put his fangs in and be scary.

CUTE!

How'd you two work out the details of the night?

I had to force her into letting me pick him up from school so I could at least take some pics of him. But I had to have him back by 6 so he could go trick or treating with Her steve and his 23 children.

I'm just glad I had him. Plus I have him all week the week of Thanksgiving. Taking him to Detroit to vist my parents.

Today is Kim's day, but 4-9pm in Odd Numbered years on Halloween is my time.

We didn't get technical - luckily. She got dressed at Grandma's came over and we went house to house and then handed out candy till she was tired and then went back to Grandmas with Mom.

If I had to deal with a 'Steve' and his 23 kids, I'd be in jail.

All the kids are really cute. Lucky parents to be able to share in such a wonderful moment of childhood.

Halloween had always been my favorite holiday and up until recently my children NEVER wore storebought costumes. I would start asking them in August (as soon as they were old enough to decide) what they wanted to be and I would make costume they wanted.

Maybe next year.
