hair removal advice?

The Buzzard

I've been doing the razor deal for a while. I still break out, get razor burn, all that shit. I have coarse hair, and it starts to grow back in fast.

I tried using Nair for coarse hair, but it didn't do shit. No hair removal. All it did was freakin' burn my skin. My girlfriend said I left it on too long, but even if I did, it didn't remove the hair.

So what's the advice here? I really want to get away from having to shave all the time. Anyone know of what really works without killing my skin?

Waxing? Hair removal gel - lotion - creme? Epilady type products?

What has worked best for you? And remember the Nair didn't do anything for me.

If your an Italian bro from MA then your basically F-ed, I'm close to the same boat. Go by at $30 trimmer and just buzz it close. This way no razor burn, break outs or any other dumb ass shit. Or try the wax on another body part.

well i can say epil stop can suck my shrunken left nut...razor still is your best bet,,,,maybe soak in some hot water,,let your pores open up or something

i feel you bro,,i have a rough ass beard,,,i break out almost every time i shave...

we can put a man on the moon,,and send cruise missles up someone's ass hundreds miles away,,but we cant make a fucken cream that removes hair right

Creames suck...the ONYL thing that works right now is laser surgery...it basically works with the dark air/light skin individuals since it basically entails HIGH freq pulses of light. It is attracted to the darker hairs and it travels to the root, killing it.

Unfortunately hair grows back regardless and the procedure has to be repeated about10-15 times for it work and you will STILL have a bit of hair left (about 10%). The procedure is basically about 2500 for one body part. And it is PAINFUL...kinda like a rubber band snapping hard on your skin every time they do it (the more hair the more it hurts)...also usually you will get about 80-100 repetitions of the above mentioned rubber band effect....IT SUCKS.

Be a REAL man: use an epilator!

I've been using an epilator -- a little machine that looks like an electric shaver, only it rips the hairs out by the roots rather than cutting them. Several companies make them. Mine is called the "Silk-Epil" by Braun.

This mother hurts LIKE HELL the first time you use it on a bodypart, and most guys give up at that point. But if you bite the bullet, it hurts much less after that, and after four or five times it doesn't hurt at all.

Epilating is basically like waxing in slow motion. What I like about it is the hair takes much longer to grow back when it's ripped out, and the new hairs seem to get thinner and lighter. They claim that after a number of "rip outs" the hair follicle will give up producing new hairs.

At first I had some trouble with ingrown hairs, but that seems to lessen as time goes on and the hairs get finer.

I like the fact that I can use the thing in bed while I'm watching TV -- but I don't recommend this the first time you use it. Your screams will drown out the TV's sound.:mix:

Can you use it on your neck? (seriously - I'm thinking of getting it lasered, but if that works...)

DaMan, sure you can use it on your neck. RUn a search on "epilator" or "hair removal" on Yahoo or any other shopping site and you'll find various models. Email me if you have any further questions.

Yes, Nads is a joke. Any waxing or sugaring product from the pharmacy works the same, and is much cheaper.

If you wanna try waxing, it's okay. Since we're all tough guys who put ourselves through a lot of pain with every workout, I'm sure we can all endure some waxing. It's really not that bad. I've done it a few times now.... there was some pretty nasty irritation to start with.... breaking out, redness.... in fact, the first time it was REAL bad.... (I'm talking about chest and stomach).... but it goes away before the hair goes back.

And the irritation is less and less each time. So if you're gunna wax, just do it a few days before you wanna be taking your shirt off in public or people will think you have some horrible skin disease.

Ive used wax, nair, nads, epilator, lazor, and trimmer. The only one I use now is a trimmer until I can afford the lasor treatment again. The rest gave me bad breakouts and regrew to quickly for all that hassle.

MACH 3 DUDE! i tried waxing once and oh my fucking god!!!! hurt,,ouf.. it was smooth as hell and looked good until the next day when everywhere there was a hair turned into a white pimple. i looked like a fucking monster, and it took over week to go away. perhaps i have sensitive skin but but i'll stick the razor everyday. i use an exfloliant everyday after shaving to cut down on the ingrown hairs and it's working well.

What exfoliant do you use? I found the ingredients for "Tend Skin" on the web and make up my own "generic" version at home.

from what i hear from my female friends, the reason u get those pimples from waxing is not because u are allergic, or have sensitive skin, its cuz ur not suppose to put ne clothing on the spot right after waxing it, wash it away, and dont put nething on top
cuz wen u wear a shirt, it'll put bacterias and germs from ur shirt right on top of it, and that'll clog ur pores, and u'll break out

so after u wax, just chill for a couple of hours in the nude.
maybe taht'll help
the first time i waxd, i broke out, and than i heard about this advice, but i havnt had the balls to wax after it, so i dont know if this works
try it out
and let me know
