I finished use of AS 5 weeks ago. I have just started growing my hair after keeping it shaved for 1.5 years to avoid hair los from MPB & AS induced loss. I have noticed that my hair has still thinned despite shaving it EOD & it appears to be growing a lot slower from top compared to sides & back. This makes my hair look thinner than what it really is. WHY IS IT GROWING THIS WAY. I have just started using 1% Nizarol shampoo & 5% minidoxil.

IM NOT QUITE SURE WHAT YOUR SAYING BUT SHAVING YOUR HEAD IS NOT GOING TO PREVENT MPB. START USING YOUR TOPICALS AND BE PATIENT IT CAN TAKE 6 MONTHS TO A YEAR TO SEE RESULTS. AS FAR AS NIZORAL EVERY ONE HERE SAYS TO USE 2%, I LIVE IN FL. AAND ALL I SEE IS 1%, BUT ON THE WEB I FOUND 2% SO IM GOING TO ORDER THEIR, I GUESS YOU CANT GET 2% IN FL. ICANT FIND IT.

mpb can't be prevented from a genetic standpoint. however you can try precautionary measures and may be able to hang on a lil longer... trust me i'd kill to have my hair back.

Why is the hair that is falling out a smaller in size than the hair on my head. The smaller hair seems to be comming out of roots. Will propecia help in this case.

What happens with MPB is the hair shaft becomes thinner (hair follicle atrophys), then falls out.
