i wasnt around but from the posts i've read, he faked his cancer. people on this board were giving him money (how stupid is that?) and gifts to help him out. pissed off alot of people. but he is on this board with a different handle

PHATchik I understand your point, but you need to understand that some people have the need to talk about things. While its old news to some people, others still don't know. I saw a thread where people were still giving him well wishes and such.
Natty coned us all that were involved. I got fucked over harder than anyone (on the boards anyway) and I didn't bitch or start a thread. Everyone deals with things in a different way, so just understand that and if you see a thread about it, don't click there....I try not to.
I made a joke above, because it was half true. I was blamed for calling him out, I was raked over the coals at another board and lies were told about me to the mods and admin there and they believed them because he was a mod.

I didn't know about this one either. But it's not an isolated incident apparently. There was just a story in the paper today about a girl, I believe at Princeton, who was doing the same thing. Except they had some various fundraisers for her and stuff like that before she was found out. Talk about some sick psycho bad karma stuff. God is standing over him and the other girl with a big eraser just getting ready to rub them out as soon as he stops laughing.

NA had told many people on EF that he had cancer, and being the caring community that we are, people respinded. A lot of people sent hiom things, money etc. Allegedly, some of the women here even slept with him.
Some of the people who extended kindnesses to him are pissed off to have it all rehashed because they feel taken advantage of. Some of them are even taking it personally, as this post indicates.
On another board, kronk surfaced the fact that the whole thing was bullshit. It was not discussed on EF until I, yes I, posted up that the whole thign was horseshit. Other people knew but didn't say anything.
Anyway, back to Anya. When Anya asked what happened to NA, Ranger replied appropriaetly, "He died".
And there you have it.

I realize that.
But to think that you should be able to tell people in a public forum not to talk about things that affected them personally makes me think that there is more to it then meets the eye.
I understand both Lestat's and big4life's points. A lot of people were hurt by this. The rumblings about it were the principal reason I posted it in the open forum.
When I said to PHATchik that it was natural to feel hurt, she kind of snapped at me and implied that there was some kind of "analysis" going on. It was weird because I only meant it to be supportive.
I think Lestat's point is that when poeple act out of sorts toward others who are only trying to be supportive, there is usually a deeper meaning. I mean, if someone sent a card or a few gifts, would they really be upset over being misled? Wacky.
People should only talk about what they know to be ture in these matters. But in the absence of comfirmation / denial, then specualtion creeps in. It is perfectly natural.

Chaps, I think you should lay off the speculation as far as Phatchick is concerned, or at least wait until she is here to reply to you. Perhaps she is someone who values time and emotion as her greatest gifts and not sex or money like some do, it is natrual for someone to be upset when they get burned like that (as has already been stated), but surely a couple of intelligent chaps realise that you never know what someone's past/present situation(s) are. This is just my opinion, but some people could do to have a read of a certain quote in fonz's signature and think on it for a little while.
