Guys: Which way does you pee flow?

This is fucking hilarious but true -

I noticed something strange about my 3 year old son who is just started potting training. Since he is tall enough to stand in front of the toilet and pee he likes to do that!.. Well, when he does, sometimes even though he is pointing it in the correct direction the pee will take off like a dart 30 degrees to either side painting the wall with urine!... I took a closer look and it appear to me that his pee hole is higher up on the tip of his penis that mine is located. Is this normal?
