Whenever I right click save as a picture now it will only store as a .bmp!

this is totally clogging my harddrive with my porn habits. it never used to be this way.

try firefox.
but first clear your temp files, then restart.

This is not a new problem its been this way for months

ive restarted lots of times.
I'll try clearing temp

Did you go to internet options and delete. That's what clears it out. There in more than one temp folder in windows.

Dude, I just clicked that, and my far from slow pc rattled and hussed for like a full minute. There must have been a shitload of that shit. I'd never done that before.

Yeah if you click a lot of pics I am sure but it's supposed to reset after a while. Usually with normal surfing you don't have to do it but it you look at a helluva lot of pic on a day you may have to do it.

You'll have to do it one pic at a time as far as I know. For stuff like that I like using Ifran Viewer. It's the best picture view IMO as well.
