Guru's outlook on GH

I was reading through a recent issue of anabolic insider, and there is a section where a knowledgable person talks about the use of growth hormones. He states that you can achieve maximum benefits by taking growth for the first 6 days of every month. He attributes this to when humans are younger their bodies only release growth hormones about 4-6 days a month, and we grow like crazy. He says that by doing this you can avoid any problems with internal organs growing and GH gut. Now I know that the general consensus is that you should take growth for at least three months on a 5 day on 2 day off mehtod with no less that 3-4 IU's a day, but That can get rather expensive. At 3 IU's a day you would butn through a kit in 8 weeks, and you would need two kits for 3 months of continuous use, and at 4 IU's a day you would go through the kit in around 6 weeks and would need 2 or 3 kits for maximum benefits. What this supposed Guru says is do no more than 12 IU's a day for the first 6 days of every month. I am a novice to GH so I figure I can get away with less than 12 IU's, so lets say I do 9 IU's a for the first 6 days of every month. 1 kit would last me over two months. I would be going 3 18 IU bottles each month. What else is good about this is that you don't have to worry about the GH going bad because you use the bottle to slowly. What does everyone think about this guys statements.
 
What is the half-life of GH? anyone know? I'm interested to hear if anyone else has tried this.

i think its BS...i have been using the G for a couple years now and the only side i get is stiff hands.....in my opinion there best and only way to use gh is at a low dose over a longer period of time and the older you are the better....this shit is NOT to be taken at high doses...its NOT a get big over night drug....all you need is 4 units per day at 5 on 2 off and run the shit at least 4 months straight and you will get great results..and this is without adding anything else with it....you will get fat loss...smooth out your skin...boost your immune system....helps your hair...and of course you will gain quality muscle...not a shit load but what you do gain it is the real deal and not some acne bloat shit....i try to stay on a total of 8 tom 10 months out of the year giving my system a month break here and there.

Here is an excerpt from the Ian Harrison article that was posted yesterday on the board. For anyone who has not seen the post It is very long but a good read. Here is Ian's Gh philosophy.

AE: What is your opinion of GH?

IAN: I think growth hormone is fantastic, but I don't believe in the huge dosages. When I first started using GH which was the first year I did the English Grand Prix which was….(asks wife what year he did the English Grand Prix)….I was 24 years old the first time I took GH, which was 1993. I was using 4 iu's on training days only, which was 4 iu's four days a week. It freaked me out, I put 2 lbs a day on for 9 days.

AE: 2 lbs a day?

IAN: Yes, and this was six weeks out from my first pro show. It freaked me out.

AE: This was six weeks out so you're on caloric restriction at this point, right?

IAN: Very much so. My physique changed overnight, I couldn't believe what was happening.

AE: I personally have never used growth. I've got a prescription for it, waiting for it to get filled, but I've never tried it before.

IAN: Use it man, use it!

AE: (Laughing) Some people say it's not that great for mass, it's only good for its lipotropic properties. Your saying it's a great mass builder, huh?

IAN: I believe it's a great mass builder, but only under the right conditions. I've tried to use it in the off-season once, and it didn't do anything for me at all. It didn't work for me, I couldn't eat enough calories to sustain the GH. It sounds very contradictory, I was using it on a calorie restricted diet and I gained a lot of weight, but the thing is, I had been in such great condition for 4 weeks prior to using the growth, and my digestive system was so efficient because my intake of fats so low, I was hungry literally within 30-40 minutes of my last meal. I was digesting food at a rapid rate. If your fat intake is higher, you digest food much slower. I don't honestly feel that growth hormone works when you've got a high fat intake, I think it only works when your protein is very high. You know it's very effective on a pre-contest diet where your metabolism is working at a very good rate and you're digesting food very quickly.

AE: When you're taking the growth, are you using it with insulin?

IAN: I used insulin from 97-98. I don't like it, I think it's vastly overrated.

AE: How many iu's were you using a day?

IAN: 10 iu's after training. I didn't like it, I went hypo a couple of times on it, scared my wife to death. I don't think I'll be using insulin again. You've got to evaluate the pros and cons of taking anything. If it gives you a 10% increase in your physique, is it worth the downsides to it? I've seen a lot of guys mess up on insulin, a lot of guys. I think maybe in the off-season it can be of benefit, but I certainly wouldn't use it for a show. I would probably say from my own experience that I would use GH when I'm on sort of a pre-contest diet and in the off-season I would use insulin. GH doesn't work for me effectively in the off-season so I would use insulin, but only in small amounts. I don't advocate the huge amounts that some people claim, and I don't think you should stay on it long-term either. I would maybe use it for 4 weeks of my 6 week cycle and then again after my three weeks clean.
 
Not this crazy crap again! It amazes me that anyone would advocate this theory without first having some basic understanding of how GH works.
First of all, we produce natural GH all day every day at any age...approximately .5 to 1.5iu depending on age. The largest surge of natural production occurs in the first 2 hours of REM sleep each night.
Exogenous (injected)GH has a "half-life" of approximately 2 hours..... a 4 hour period of activity during which there is a suppression of naturally produced GH. It takes 6 to 8 weeks to notice a dramatic change in body comp using GH on an ED or 5/2 split. So, a few days use at the start of the month makes no sense.
Insulin is extremely effective with GH, as anyone here who has tried it will testify. This is because GH injections cause a down regulation of insulin sensitivity in the body.
GH alone causes little growth of lean mass, however, when combined with insulin and steroids (and IGF-1 if you can find it), the results can be down right remarkable.....esp. in the older bodybuilder.
