Diplomacy is over there will be no vote in the UN today. The President will give a speech today to give Saddam a Final Ultimatum to avoid war by leaving Iraq immediately. This will also be the final signal for civilians, aid workers, diplomats and UN inspectors to leave Iraq. 72 hours is considered the maximum final window for them to leave. The fog of war has begun. Security on the home front will be at the maximum.

It is a grave time for! Many are about to die. Sorry to put a damper on your fun.

No damper, just wondering. I have a lot of friends flying in airplanes over there, so I'm more than aware of the risks involved.

Yes. They are going to feel alot of emotions in the final stages towards war. About the only cure is to go on their missions and drop the bombs. Down time can be a killer to the mind. Well I will be back if things change, otherwise one more bump post.

Thanks for the heads up. I am actually surprised that it has taken this long as I really expected it to happen at the end of February for quite a long time before that. However, although I am firmly opposed to sending in the troops, I will not protest the war in the streets when we have OUR troups in the field. They will now need to focus on their mission and we need to let them get their job done since that is the final decision and discussions are apparently over.

I am glad that the Turks will allow the U.S. the use of the Turkish bases as they are fairly critical. I didn't think the U.S. would be able to pull that deadlock off at the last minute. I am sure the Turks drove a very hard bargain.
