Guidance on first cycle...

What would be good to use on my first cycle?

18yrs old
Not really much lifting history, just stuff that got me ripped-not much mass
5'11"
140-145 lbs
Estimated BF - I'm pretty dang skinny + high metabolism
Diet - Not the healthiest, but not quite unhealthy. Lots of variety and lots of calories, I eat like any other teen
Goal - I have a lot of trouble gaining muscle mass, so even 10-15 would be very sufficient now

I hear a lot of people say they use test enanthate for there first cycle, and nothing else. 10 weeks, 200 MG/week. It sounds good to me cause I don't want to jump in right away, and preferably never, to the point of using like 3 or 4 things at a time. I care about my body and only want something modest with low sides (which everyone seems to have with low dose first cycles.)

I also see people include deca-dur, but I don't know if it would be worth it (money wise, gain wise, and side effects wise). I don't want to start off with much at all.

I have done a lot of research, and still plan on doing a lot more. I really just want to be guided in the right direction. Thanx in advance

lift and eat.....you are no where near ready for anabolics

#1. Create a training log and record what you do. If you're not continually making progress, you're doing something wrong. With a log, you can identify what works when you make training adjustments.

#2. Do the Same for food. Record what goes in - calories, protein, carbs, and fat. Watch how your body reacts to dietary changes.

#3. Learn all you can about training and eating towards your goals. Be weary of what people tell you - there are so many training techniques that reality can become cloudy. However there are some universal training principles that you need to know. I can give you some of these if you wish.

Do these three things and you will have a big jump over most AAS users on the planet.

BTW, at your age you ARE on steroids naturally. No shit, that'sjust the way it is. Take advantage of it - don't short circut it with drugs.

wait it out

No need for AAS just yet. You still got a long way to go naturally, so reap the benefits before you ever inject.

Ok, point recieved, no steriods for now. Yes, I definately would like some of those universal training principles. Thanx thus far.

shit, im 180 pounds, 6 foot flat, and i still think my ass isnt ready for AS.been lifting for a few years now, just now getting into my first cycle.

ima tell you the truth,do everything you can to get some decent weight on you right now without AS.since you consider yourself an average teen, your diet is probably crap(no offense).cereal for breakfast, pizza hut for lunch, and a good sized extra greasy fish sandwich for dinner.clean up your diet, right now your probably not getting close to 100 grams of protein in your diet.spend the money you had for AS all on protein, Whey-whatever.just eat clean, train hard, and youll get big.when you start plateuing every single damn week though and youve tried EVERY single thing possible, then MAYBE consider As

wait, youre def not ready, after lifting for a few years with a real diet and training program then youll be ready.

I was going to do my first cycle this winter, but I lost my source. I think someone is telling me something, hold off for a litle longer...

Yea I'll definately wait. Now I'm just gonna focus on trying to get big (emphasis on trying). Trying to gather all the tips I can.

reconn00b, here are some universal principles of training. All of these must be blended into a quality training program.

#1. Specificity - Simply put, adaptation is specific to the demands you impose on the body.

#2. Overload. If your body is to adapt you must place demands on it that it is not accustomed to. Overload (or lack of) is determined by several factors: Frequency of exercise, intensity, and duration. Frequency X duration = Volume. Volume can be seen as the quantity of overload (or lack thereof). Intensity can be viewed as the quality of overload.

#3. Progression. Progression is simply increasing overload AS YOU adapt - NOT before you adapt.

#4. Recovery. You DO NOT grow when you workout. All adaptation occurs at rest.

#5. Retrogression/Plateau/Reversibility. If your training is such that you fail to adapt to it, your performance will plateau at best, or retrogress. If you fail to maintain sufficient demand on the body, adaptations will reverse.

#7. Individualization. What works best for someone else will not necessarily work best for you - even if you share identical fitness levels.

You task is to fill in the blanks. You will find volumes written on how to achieve your goals. Always use that information in regard to these principles. AND log your progress. If you do, you will save yourself YEARS of trial and error.
