Guaifenesin Benefits?

My ephedrine (25mg) is accompanied by 200mg of this stuff that is suppose to thin the mucus out and clear airways. Any benefits to this substance?

its found in cough medicines and things of that sort...It has been shown to help fibromyalgia patients as well. has something to do with supporting the mitochondria of your cells. not sure exactly what the mechanism is...ill see if i can find it for you

why do all these people seem to think that Guaifenesin is the bronchodilator, I'm very cusious where this info is coming from. "thin the mucus and clear airways" that is the bronchodilator doing that which is the ephedrine. All Guaifenesin is is a muscle relaxant like omega said. why a body builder would want to take a muscle relaxant I have no idea, buy the pure stuff forget that Guaifenesin crap.

if guaifenesin is a muscle relaxer then why is it the main ingreidient in robitussin and other cough OTC meds?? I dont know about bronchodialator, i believe its an expectorant actually

i ran a search thru the literature, everything i came up with was Guaifenesin works as an expectorant and mucus. one example

Guaifenesin as a treatment for primary dysmenorrhea --in the abstract tells whast guaifenesin does...muscle relaxer is not included

Most of the articles i found were related with cough surpression and a few with other conditions like the above article. Nothing about being a muscle relaxer was found anywhere

Hmm. I understand the ephedrine is a bronchiodialator and also a thermogenic. But I think that guaif is just a bronchiodialator. I have seen nothing referencing it as a muscle relaxer.

We going to hear from Macro or no?
