Anyone got any good songs?
I like these:
Synthesasia (thrillseekers)
Invisible (Tilt- MAtt darey mix)
Sparkles (tiesto tranza mix)
Eternity (Burren VS Tiesto)
flesh (tiesto mix... about 4 min into the song, the TIGHTEST buildup Ever)
voilia (burren mix)
Beautiful (Darey)
Cream (okenfold mix)

Basically anything by Tiesto, Armin Van Burren, Matt Darey. Deep, hypnotic trance with lots of sythesizers and shit.
Anyone got anything else?

Check out these:

Hand in Hand Opus III (Oakenfield rmx)
Evolution Opus III
El Nino Angelli & Nelson (Oakenfield rmx)
Forbidden Fruit Paul Van Dyk
Silence Delerium/S Mclaughlan (Tiesto rmx)
Moments Noisemaker (David Knapp)

There is this song that Victor Calderone plays a lot...I am not sure of the name/artist but part of the chorus is "push it up, push it up to heaven" I think. Anybody with an idea of what the name of this song is?

forbidden fruit by paul van dyk

the latest 2 disc set by paul van dyk

not a trance head here, I will leave it for the etards, but I like brilliant music, and paul van dyk produces just that

Remember Rank 1 - Airwave from 1999/2000? Best Trancer ever might be Binary Finary - 2000. Can't forget Verachocha or anything by Ferry Corsten. Hair raising breaks.

I like songs that combine the best elements of hardhouse and deeptrance

its like Speed with GHB and a hint of shrooms hehe

OK:

Lazy Jones - Let me tell you
Dumonde - See the light
Trance control - The Beginning of the End
Armin van Buuren - Communication

I love songs with those tingly little chrystalbell sounds and whispers that mimic the serotonine rush of a good pill and the fat bass and backbeat that is intensified by the G)

Anything dark, bangin and hard, nothing commercial

alptraum Dave Seaman's Renaissance series CDs are good trance.
:spin: Good call- Renaissance Awakenings and Desire are top notch compilations.

Anything by zeb fontane. Thats the good shit
:worried: I believe it's Seb Fontaine and I would stay away from that cheese, but to each his own.

Where the real shit is: :verygood:
Anything compilations mixed by
Sasha + Digweed, Anthony Pappa, Danny Howells, Sander Kleinenberg, Steve Lawler, Chris Fortier, Jimmy Van M, Cass, Tengalia (more housey), Deep Dish, Nick Warren, Saed & Palash, Parks + Wilson, Quivver, Lee Burridge, Craig Richards, Max Graham

Too many great progressive house songs to name. You'll find them on compiliations by these artists.

Some classic anthems...

Wink "Higher State of Consciousness" (not really trance but...)
Underworld "Cowgirl/Rez"
DJ Misjah and DJ Tim "Access"
Energy 52 "Cafe del Mar"
Paul Van Dyk "Binary Finary", "Tell me Why"
System F - Out of the Blue
Rank 1 - Airwave
Chicane - Saltwater
Flaming June - BT
Jam + Spoon "Follow Me"
cygnus X "orange theme" - ferry corsten mix
Lost Witness - happiness
faithless - Insomnia
pretty much anything by agnelli and nelson

You've gotten a lot of good suggestions already. A couple I haven't seen mentioned are:

ATB -- Fields of Love (Darude Remix)
Trance Control -- Atomic Dance Explosion (Millienium Remix)

Some none commercial old shit that still gives a good mindfuck today:

LFO - Technarchy

Burglar syndicate - Flight 742 (maybe inspired Tiesto to produce - Flight 647?)

Octopussy - Octopussy (this is really tooooooo much trippin hard stuff, wooooowwww)

Les dormeurs - Le dormeur droit se reveiller

I've been listening to Trance for years now, and I have to agree with the artists Womb Raider listed. I cant believe no one else bothered to mention Sasha, Sanders, and Danny. Damn guys, and you call yourselves Trance luva? :D

Anyway, if I were you, I would fill my collection of Trance CD's with the following...

Sander Kleinenberg, Nu Breed
Danny Howells, Nu Breed
Danny Howells, Nocturnal Frequencies Vol 2, (if you can find it!)
Sasha, Live in Ibiza, Global Underground 013, (a classic)
Sasha & Digweed, Communicate

That should keep you busy! Also, keep in mind that you have to acquire a taste for listening to some of these CD's, especially Danny, because at first it wont sound very good, but after you listen to it a few times, you'll start to hear sounds that were not there before, it's pretty PHAT. I guess the CD's grow on you.

Ive got the Nu Breed Cd's you mention, not bad

I also agree with the Global Undergound comment, some of them are too mellow and diluted for my taste but that Sasha one is particularly good

I prefer more darker and bangin material, something that makes you want toburn thefloor

I recently got the danny howell's nocturnal freqs vol. 3. it is pretty damn good, but you call this trance? how about proggressive? or prog house? boy, I was sure fooled. I always thought trance was cheesy, besides pvd...
