Great thing about steroids in regards to genetic potential.

We all hear about people stating that you should train to or at least close to your genetic potential but seriously, we don't know exactly where our genetic potential ends. Some people will say when you stop gaining after training for so long. Well maybe you're not doing EVERYTHING right. Some people through impatience and frustration or just pure laziness then turn to steroids. Key word I said.... SOME. I really could care less everyone is different. But, we all know that the more quality muscle you have built the more steroids will work. It's called having your foundation then building your fuckin skyscraper. Still, not saying that great physiques can't be built if you never started off training naturally but you will appreciate your gains more and you will know what it truly feels like to be hardcore. As well your androgen receptors are more primed. A trained(experienced) muscle has better androgen receptor sensitivity Plus you won't have to keep going on high doses just to maintain a normal look. Hmmmm kind of went into a whole other topic there.

Anyway, steroids are great in that they can cause your body to go past it's natural limit, even when you're natural and off them again. Let me explain. We all hear about GH when used with steroids causing permanent muscle gain. Well some people still lose some no matter what when going off the steroids of course. The great thing about using GH though is that it icreases igf-1 which in turn not only causes muscle hypertrophy but muscle hyperplasia.(increasing amount of muscle cells) See though even steroids to a degree especially the higher androgen ones cause a increase in igf-1 which in turn causes more muscle cells for your body to work with. So even when you go off and you might lose some of course, when you regain your natural test levels again you have more muscle cells to work with. Yes I know certain exercises involving stretching and eating right and all this effects igf-1 levels as well but not to the same degree as drugs of course. I could go on more about this but this is just a basic idea.

I for one have maintained my gains continuously after going on(I know how to train post cycle as well) and have even thought about whether or not I want to juice again. I'm sure I will but even now I feel like I am at a really good size and when I shred myself up I will really look good. No no pro bodybuilder good but still big and more healthy looking.(btw - hardcore heads I have nothing against you and I do respect you guys so no flames here ok, hehehe)

Any added thoughts? I know I didn't cover all I want to say because there is just too much I want to say and can't all put it together right now but just an idea.

Good post bro

I think most people don't believe that AAS causes any amount of hyperplasia or any other permanent growth for one main reason. Most people adjust their training and diet to satisfy a cycle. "Oh man, I'm going to up my calories to 5000 this coming cycle." Well dumbass, if you would've been eating 5000 off cycle, you wouldn't need the gear yet. Its surpirsing how many people don't understand that gear is a tool for FURTHER growth, not the causation of it. If more understood this, there would be fewer people complaining about crashing, and losing their gains. My last cycle was over 10 months ago. I ended that one at 250 and gotten to 265 natty with a couple 3 week experimental slin cycles a couple months ago. I started at 140 lbs, got to 210 naturally, hit what I believe to be my genetic plateau and began juicing.

Anyway, like you said....I've kept my gains because I eat and train like I'm on when I'm off. I have GH waiting for my next cycle in January and can't wait for the reasons you stated.:p

I agree...I see people everyday in my gym that when they come off they all get small and start training like pussies...They key to keeping gains obviously has got a lot to do with #1 Diet..#2 Post cycle therapy... #3 Intensity of training...I usually when coming off, back off training so Intensly and watch my diet very closely until I feel I have rebounded...But like you said usually you wind up with more to work with regardless...

Good post bro, but that's a myth. I jumped on steroids very fast and gained a lot in a very short amount of time. The more you have to grow the MORE you will grow, it's really simple as that. Steroids just accelerate your growth process ASSUMING you know what you are doing when training. A lot of people jump on the juice very fast and don't know what they are doing and that's why they end up going through the yo-yo effect every time they come off a cycle or go back on, it really just has to do with your training and diet more than anything else. I am really speaking from experience here, how many people here can say that they have gained 60lbs in a year of mostly quality muscle? Not many really, and the reason I did was cause I jumped on the juice pretty fast. NOONE can gain that much if they are close to their "genetical pottential."
