It's DVD 9 and I it can't be copied so I'm going to have to wait until it hits greatest hits before I check it out. But I've heard it's more of the same. If you liked Gran Turismo you'll be happy. If you think the series is getting stale this one won't help.

I'm loving it. I would srtongly recommend buying the cheat disc though as those license tests are back with a vengeance and are even more of a pain in the ass than they ever were.
With cheats, you can have 4 quintrillion in credit, buy what you want, race where and when you want and generally have a shedload of fun. You can put in codes for all the licenses and missions and have the prize cars handed to you when the game starts, what's cooler!?
B-Spec is a lifesaver when it comes to all those endurance races. Just tell the AI driver how fast you want him to go, set the race speed to 3 times mormal and go off and do something else. Come back and he's won the race for you and you sit back and claim your prize. Considering that two of the races last 24 hours (no kidding), this is a necessary option. If you find championships a pain you can go and B-Spec those too.
In Prologue, there was a 10 second penalty if you so much as kissed another car or barrier. In GT4 the penalty is 5 seconds, but worry not, it only crops up in rally races and only really on parts of the course where you're going to be slowing down anyway.
The best and most formidable track is the Nordschleife aka Nurburgring, trust me, this one's a ballbreaker! I got round there in 7mins 38 in a fully modded Cerbera, but it scared the crap out of me I can tell you! Ahh, modding, you don't get the scope of NFSU, but, you can tune most of the Jap cars and have them run 10's with a shot of NOS. My fully modded Supra has a NOS assisted top speed of 264mph, and that is real fast!
All in all a superb game and one of the most complete driving experiences you're ever likely to have, from the comfort of your chair anyway!
