well it all started about a month ago, when my left arm started getting numb, and having back pain.i was also getting weaker in my bench press and left tricep, despite my 200mg of eq and 100mg of test prop eod.finally after seeing doctors, a mri showed i have 3 herniated disks in my upper back that is pinching a nerve witch has caused my left pec, tricep, and deltoid to shrink.it is verry noticeable.despite all that i cant even go to the gym and my surgery will most likely will be in march,so i will be out for a while.cant wait to get back in the gym.

damn... good luck with that. I have degenerative disk disease, but fortunately I've been able to avoid surgery so far. Sounds like you're getting some pretty serious nerve impingement though.

Are the herniations acute or congenital? If its an acute injury, they should be able to just go in and shave of the protruding portion of the disk and you'll be set. I had a teammate in college that had that surgery. He just had to wear this back brace/girdle type thing for a few weeks, that was it. If its something more serious, are they going to have to go in and build "cages" to keep your vertebrae seperated? My old man had that surgery just last year and it made a world of difference.

Best of luck to you.

Sorry to hear that freakazoid. Have you seen a Chiroproctor for the problem? If not, it seems like that might be a worth while thing to try. Since your surgery is not unlil March perhaps you may have great results and not have to go under the knife. What sort of trauma caused the damage and how long has this been bothering you. The sort of surgery that you are talking about is usually very complex and invasive. Why not give it a shot maybe save yourself some pain and recovery time.

My 2 cents.

Good luck

i have tried physical therapy a procedure called traction.it didnt help,as far as the cause im not real sure i have been in several motorcross accidents as a youth, but the pain didnt start untill i changed jobs within my company.the job requires me to wear a protective hood on my head that weighs about7-8 pounds for about 5 hrs a day.my doctor thinks i probably had the problem for a while and the strain on my neck from the hood caused the nerve to become pinched.so it didnt hurt untill the nerve became pinched.it is a real downer but people have come back from alot worse.i am just so fuckin bored, cant work or go to the gym.

I sell spine implants and watch spine surgery everyday, you should be fine, if you need the name of a good surgeon in your area e-mail me.
