Got this off another board, something to make ya think

This is the "real deal".
We can say all the hateful, hurtful things about everyone & every other country. But if this violent act scares you - maybe you should ask "why". If you are enlightened after reading this - good - give God the glory - if it makes you more angry - give the devil his due - if it makes you think - Ive accomplished what I posted this for
PLUR & God Bless!
Recently, we have all been touched by horrific acts of terrorism. As people stared in silent wonder, the question on their minds was the same: Is what I trusted in able to be trusted? I sat and watched the people who were shocked, because they didn't ever think that this could happen. They thought our military was so strong, our weapons so advanced, that the threat of attack was just something we would shrug off. People's very foundations are being shaken. And then the question on some mind's is, "Where was God? Why would He allow such a heinous crime to happen?"

Can I pose another question, to all who profess to be Christians: What did you safely trust in? I have heard for years such statements as, "America is the strongest in military forces. America has the most advanced technology in the weapons war. The American Armed forces can beat any force that comes up against us." We have safely trusted in the American Armed forces and their technology more than we have our God. If we will allow ourselves to be real honest, we have even been arrogant about how bad we are as a nation. Not because we have God! As a matter of fact, we pretty much have asked God not to involve Himself in most of the affairs of our life. We don't want Him in our schools, in our government, or our own morality. No, we want God to sit on a shelf and only come out when we really need Him to help us.

It sounds like what the children of Israel went through. God had been good to them, just like He's been to America. However, eventually they began to serve other god's. They justified it because they still went to churches, oh I mean temples. They mixed their own ideas, oh I mean idols, with religion. They said they loved Him with their lips, but didn't serve Him with their hearts. And God allowed the enemy to come in and run their land.

The Bible says that He shows us goodness unto repentance. I think we can say that God has been good to America, very good. But we have not really repented. There are those who claim to be Christians, but they are giving God lip service. They don't want to do what he says, but they want him to protect them. And there are those who are in church faithfully, but they refuse to do want God has called them to do. We find that money, partying, lust, anger, etc... have become gods, not only to those who don't know God, but even in the house of God. This is a call to repentance, God asks us, "What have you safely trusted in?"

Think of Jericho, from the Book of Joshua. Jericho had a wall around the city, a fortress that would not be torn down my hands. They didn't think they had anything to worry about, they trusted in that wall. I mean, come on, it was a big wall. They didn't have missiles or any other type of high tech weapon that would tear that thing down. So they safely trusted in this wall, no one would be able to come up against them. And just when they were laughing at the Israelites for saying that they were going to take the land of Jericho, they found out that they had a God that parted Red Seas. They got a little nervous, but not enough to move them. But this people, who were only armed with God, cried out to God, God tore down those walls and they possessed the land.

God is sick and tired of His people turning away from Him. He asked the question to the Israelites, and I believe to us, "What iniquity (sin) have you found in me?" In other words God asks, "What have I done to you, besides try to be good to you, that you would turn away from me and trust in something else?" When America trusted more in weapons and armed forces, they made it a god. When we trust more in our pay check than God, it's a god. When we think what we want is more important than what God says, it becomes a god.

So if you are wondering, "Where was God? Why did He allow this to happen?" You should check your heart and ask yourself where did you ask God to be. You should ask yourself, did you serve and trust Him, or did you serve yourself and trust in another god? Repentance and putting God as the head is the answer!

PS- What the fuck makes you self-righteous Christians/Catholics think that your version of god is the only and correct version? Was it not the Catholic church that tore people's limbs off on the strappado? Then once they confessed to being witches they were burned at the stake in the middle ages? Or the Catholic church's silent consent of the holocaust?

What makes you think that Buddah, Krishna, and the others were not just incarnations of god, just like Jesus?

For those Christians who use their faith to do right and good, and there certainly are some like that, I commend you...but from my experience, the vast majority of Christians are just following the trends, literally, and most of you would be Buddists if that was the popular religion.

Something else I find funny is the idea of this human-god...what, god is JEALOUS? Also, if god is truly omnipotent, then he saw this all coming anyway right? Durrrrrr

i think this is not the time to be forgeting about god and mocking those who believe in him. For some this was a wake up to faith. This tragedy was not by god's fate but by our own. for we all sin. May we all turn to god at this time, whichever god that is, for with out faith our world is doomed.

Why is it that those who do not believe in God work so hard and spend so much of their time and energy devoted to "debunking" Him?

Both Psych 101 and Buddhism say that when you spend so much energy pushing something away, you are really holding on to it.

Kinda like how people who dislike homosexuality are so often accused of being "closeted homosexuals." But I guess that rule only applies to "politically correct" topics...

Could it be that those of you who are so against God are actually "Theophobes"??

Peace out, and may God bless us all.

Sincerely,
Weapon X

Sure did bro, you go there too? Everytime I see a post on Nubain I'm thinking, " I bet I know that dude of one of the BB boards":) A bro from the Renegade told me about that site awhile back and I stop in every once in awhile. I'm usually in the Other drugs room.

Jesus said " I am the way the truth and the life; no one goes to the father except by Me." He was either a liar and a fanatic or He was who He said He was. Oh by the way if you live like there is no God then you better be right. And last but not least If this bothers you, why should it? if its just a bunch of garbage. And I leave you with this, the bible pridicted that Isreal would be a nation again. Hmmmmmm thats funny same borders and everything. Also Jesus said" this nation shall not pass away without seeing comming of the Lord." Ohhhhh but this is all make believe, or is it? by the way 120yrs is a generation. Isreal I think became a nation in 1948. Do the math.

There is a major flaw in this little rant. You're confusing two different gods here, the one from the Old Testament and the one in the New.

Yahweh, the God of the Old Testament was vengeful and murderous. He only favored the Israelites, and helped them slaughter Gentiles my the masses. Don't get me wrong, he did do good, but it was all directed at his chosen people. All other who opposed Him, wether or not they conciously rejected God, or even had no knowledge of him, were eliminated.

The God mentioned in the New Testament, however, is infintely forgiving, loving, and above all, non violent. This is the God Christians typically follow, and as they should. Jesus is a great role model. This God also would not be infuriated by people straying from Him and "worshiping" false idols, as the God from the Old Testament would. He embraced his those who opposed.

If you think God is pissed at us for not believing in Him as the one true God, and therefore takes his wrath out upon us, that is one fucked up diety that I want no part of.

God is waiting for His day, until then we are on our own. He´s doing this to prove that we can´t live without him and we have definately shown that. Since WW1 this world has gone deeper into the shit than ever, massdestruction weapons, genocide, hate, children killing children, children killing parents, parents killing children etc. etc. Even money has a bigger value than a human life nowadays. Priests bless soldiers out on the front when Jesus said we should love our enemies. Do you believe Jesus would be out there blessing soldiers? What if the other side says they belive in the same god, what side do you think god takes?
Thinking that god blesses some countries and leaves others out is just fooling yourself.

I actually found this board from the Bluelight board. I haven't been there in awhile. The PLUR part gave it away.

J-Ro, there is no confusion with Pimp C thread on two different gods here, the one from the Old Testament and the one in the New.
Its the same god. Lots of things happened between the Old Testament & the New Testament mainly the death and resurrection of the son of god, witch in turn by Jesus being crucified dying on the cross for our sins enabled all men (gentiles) a place in gods kingdom.
The new Testament is after the death of Christ, A.D. plain and simple after the death of Christ the world and way of living was changed.
So it is not a different god Pimp C is talking about, it is a different situation.
If you read what happened and understand it you will see that god sacrificed his one and only son to save us, so that the things that happened in the Old Testament did not have to happen the same anymore. One of the most common and known verses of the Bible John, 3:16 simpley explains that.

The attacks on America are not the wrath of god.
Also J-Ro, no where does Pimp C say that god is pisses at us, no where does Pimp C say that god is pouring out his wrath with these attacks. What he is saying is that America has forgotten about god. (it is not just America that has forgotten)
In the Bible it talks about how the world will marvel at its own creations and inventions and want to live a life without god, thinking why do we need god? We are so great and smart and powerful we do not need god to survive.
This I see myself in everyday life. All that there is talk about today is look at how advanced our technology is, look at our economy, we are so powerful, we are invincible.
The attacks on America happened for a reason, from God's view and why he let happen what happened, it is impossible for us to understand the reasoning behind this, but what you must understand is that everything happens for a reason. If you believe that this is gods wrath you are very mistaken. When god has finally had enough and does finally pour out his wrath it will be like nothing ever seen of thought of.
The part that god did have in this is things no one is thinking of. All that I have been hearing is why would such a loving god let such a terrible thing happen?
To that all I can say is look around, there are plenty of other people that are being rounded up right now that could of just as well Hijacked other planes and added to this disaster, why did that 4th plane never reach its real destination.
There could of very well been other attacks that could of made this one look like a little spanking. No one seems to think about this though. The only thing we think about is how such a supposedly loving god would let this happen, well I can not explain why and no one else can.
There is a reason for everything even though we do not understand.

Crash, pretty much right here he says God didn't help us because we strayed from him. By God letting this happened, I surmised that this is some form of his wrath.

Also, if you believe that there isn't two different Gods here, how do you explain God's complete reversal of opinion about human life? I mean, God struck down the first man who masturbated. Funny, but it's in the Bible. That's pretty harsh. Yahweh would become infuriated when the Isrealites strayed. He would then abandon them and they would be conquered by other tribes. This is the continuous, cyclical story of the Old Testament. When the Israelites are being good, by worshipping God, he gives them good fortune. When they disobey them, they are often the victim of waring rivals.

This bears no similarity to the God of the New Testament. Jesus loved everyone, even those who opposed his teaches. Even as he was being crucified Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do." He was saying, they didn't know any better and have mercy on them. If it was the Old Testament ideology, Jesus would have cried out to kill the Romans who were crucifying him.

Also, this notion of God "working in mysterious ways" is crap. The thought of God randomly interacting with humans to fufill some master plan that's too great for us idiot humans is a cop out. It's just a way that people can explain violence in the world. If a nuclear bomb was dropped on the U.S. and millions died, would people still say, "it's part of God's plan" and "God never gives us more than we can bear?"

Incorrect
This kind of ignorance always shows up in the Bible-haters' arguments.
Onan's sin was not that of masturbation, but of refusing to produce progeny for his brother's line.
Onan's bro was killed, and as was God's edict at that time, the deceased man's brother had a duty, if his brother had died without children, to produce children with his deceased brother's wife. These children would still be counted as the deceased man's progeny so that his lineage would not die out.
Onan purposely and selfishly had sex with his sister in law, but refused to impregnate her. He spilled his seed on teh ground instead.

There is only one God in all the Bible. He shows a differing character in some ways, but God is one. Adonai echad.

Also, I'd dare anyone who's actually read the synoptic Gospels to tell me that Christ was a pacifist.
He told his Apostles to buy a sword if they did not have one, and to even sell their robe if necessary to do so.
He also stated that he came to bring a sword.
His Peace is not the peace called for by the peaceniks and hippies.

Can you post where this is? I'm interested to know.

Sure.

1.) Matthew 10:34 - Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

2.) Luke 22:36 - Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Weapox X, what are the passages like surrounding that text, I'd be interested to know. I'm somewhat surprised about this extremism in the New Testament. I took a Bible as Literature class, but I didn't remember that stuff. Well, that was almost 3 years ago though.

Luke 22

Supplies for the Road
35 And He said to them, "When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?"
So they said, "Nothing."
36Then He said to them, "But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. 37For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: "And He was numbered with the transgressors.' For the things concerning Me have an end."
37For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: "And He was numbered with the transgressors.' For the things concerning Me have an end."
38So they said, "Lord, look, here are two swords."
And He said to them, "It is enough."

-------------------------------------

Matthew 10
33But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.

Christ Brings Division
* 34 "Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword. 35For I have come to "set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law';

".....but refused to impregnate her. He spilled his seed on the ground instead."

LoL, I just thought that sounded funny.

Damn he shood have shot it all over her ass and lower back man..what's up with that?

THE STEEL BEAST,,, I can't agree with you there.
By all means I am not a Saint, but if I did not believe the things I do as far as god, I would not be free from hate I would have more hate, I would think of no one but myself ect.

THE STEEL BEAST said:
THERE IS NO GOD PEOPLE.......LEARN THAT AND YOU WILL BE FREE FROM HATE AND OTHER BULLSHIT THAT GOES ALONG WITH BELIEVING IN FAIRY TALES.

Why do you say that there is no God?

Steel beast:
If you knew anything about the christian religion you would realize that the pile of shit you dumped on yourself from your last post is full of stupid facts you have drawn with no study.

You claim the christian religion life would supposedly get "better" if they were to drop their god. The truth of the matter is, Christians live their physical life to be persecuted. They do not choose to be christian so they can be better off, they choose it because they love their god for creating a place better than what they have. The only rich christian is one who does not "follow" his god. he is the one who took christs salvation plan as a last minute ticket into the kingdom of heaven. I did what the rich man did. I don't choose to "follow" God and lose what I have just to be a better christian. Yes I do repent of my sins, Yes i Do study the bible. No i don't attend church, or believe in any kind of donation of money to give to god. But, as you said, making you look like a moron, (though I know otherwise) God has no purpose, and your life will not go bad if you dump your god. You are so Very correct which doesn't surprise me. But you missed the entire point. What religion is chosen to make life better? No wait, that can be taken in many ways. Which religion is chosen to make life better as far as worldly things? I don't think any, But please correct me if i am wrong, I would like to research that religion if it is existant. But anywho, the entire point of religion is energy atonement. When they believe they have reached their ethereal bodies, that is what their true goal is. eternal life at the side of their god, or reincarnation as something better etc. etc. nothing is supposed to make our life more furnished.

so please remember, "Of what you do not know, Do not speak of."
