The doc said everything in the blood test was great except that I had a little higher than normal hemoglobin and calcium count, should i be worried ?

no, that's normal for as use. Calcium I don't know.

Is this pre, mid or post cycle? Because if everything else was in order and your on, your one lucky bastard!

My girlfriend had to take Prednisone due to Chrone's disease (immune system disorder of the intestinal track). Here doctor told her that she needed to take calcium tablets for the rest of her life because steroid use does a number on our bones and joints. I started taking calcium myself because of my AS use just to play it safe; but I would have to say that high calcium levels is a good thing......how could it be bad???

A high hemoglobin is normal in athleats due to their need for faster recovery from strenous exercise and also the ability to continue strenuous exercise made possible by oxygen exchange in the blood. If your a normal healthy person you shouldn't need a calcium supp. Your baody will get all it needs from the food you take in, ie cheese, milk, cottage cheese and a multi-vitamin. Taking a ca+ supp. could lead, although I won't say that it will for sure, to unsightly calcium deposits or bone spurr development. Maybe someone else could chime in on that one.

I am not on a cycle right now, nor do I take any calcium supplements. But I do put alot of milk in my protein shakes, maybe that could be it ?

Corticosteroids like cortisone and prednisone are NOT the same as AAS.

Prednisone=glucocorticoid (catabolic, including osteoporosis, muscle wasting, etc.)

AAS=anabolic/androgenic (anabolic, bone and muscle building)

She needs calcium supplements, not you.
