Got a date on Saturday

It's been just over 6 months since my last g/f killed herself. 3 months ago I honestly believed I would stay single the rest of my life, by choice, of course. Virtually overnight, I started to become interested in seeing women again.

Last night this woman, whom I've know for a while, asked me if I would go out with her this coming Saturday. So, I took a chance and said 'yes'. I find her to be very friendly (towards me, at least ;) ), and do find her attractive.

It's been a long time, to say the least, since I've been out on a date with anyone but my ex. I'm actually a little nervous about this, ( still suffering a few symptoms of PTSD, which may explain it). She knows about my ex killing herself, and doesn't seem bothered by it. Shit, it was only last weekend that I gave away most of my ex's belongings.

It may be early to hit the dating scene again, but I guess I won't know till I try.

Any advice on this people?

As I've said, I have no clue about dating etiquette. Should I just show up myself, or bring a small gift, or something to that effect?

At least I look good. :D

Just show up. Be you, and enjoy yourself.

Yep. Good for you man!!!

Hey, good for you!! Show up, be yourself and RELAX!!! It's just a night out with a "friend," don't go expecting romance or whatever, just enjoy the evening for what it is......

Thanks people. :)

Yes, tiger, I may kiss her on the first date. We'll see what happens as far as romance goes.

Just NAIRed my arms and found out I am alergic to it.

depillatory man!

Anyways, good luck.

Good for you!!!! ;)

Take it easy - go slow - don't rush in - just sit back and have a grand time.

BE FRIENDS and if more materializes fantastic, if not then you've made another good friend and you can never have too many GOOD FREINDS - they are in short supply indeed.

I am just so happy Happy HAPPY for you!!! ;)
