Gore to Get Lifetime Award for Internet

Looks like our nation was more concerned with who would better protect us from terrorism, not who contributed to the internet.

lol..thanks..I mean that. ;)
If it makes you feel better I am the "moderate" Vice-Chairman of the College Republicans at the university I attend. A few of the members do things like throw up racist websites with confederate flags in the background, harass females at abortion clinics, and other typical bullshit that gives our organization a bad name. So just for you, I added an amendment to our little constitution that allows the officers to kick out members permanently. You love me now.

of course, its a harmless cartoon and while I realize I have openly "taken sides" I also realize neither side is perfect.

why does your sig pic say your "new" president salutes you.

he's been president like 6 years or something

I hate that.

it's like those radio stations who say "the NEW 106.1 Kiss FM"! but the station has been on the air 12 years.

lol...yeah....but you get the point.

Why do you insist on insulting our President by calling him a monkey?

Monkeys have tails. Curious George is obviously a chimpanzee.

Aren't chimps the smartest simians?

I'd like to know exactly what his contributions to the development of the Internet over the last 3 decades were.

To the political thread which turns into a radio thinggy, and then inevitably turns into a porn thread..

Uhhh, I really hate making you look stupid by pointing out the obvious, but Gore ran in 2000. This was before the time when anyone in the USA cared about terrorism. Terrorism was something that only happened in Jerusalem. It was hardly a campaign issue for either side in that election.

Al Gore? Who's that?

Oh...is he the guy who endorsed Howard Dean, and then has not been heard from since?

I can't remember.

I know what you mean, my bad for not clarifying. I was referring to the re-election of Bush in as much as it meant another form of defeat for Al Gore since his party lost again in '04.

He lead a caucus that kept the senate from killing it off 25 years ago.

I hardly doubt something as privatized and entrepreneur-based as the internet would have been killed off, never to be seen again, all because of a vote in the senate.

Yeah, I'm one of the majority of American voters who chose Gore.
People dont choose presidents. States do. Gotta live with it until that ol' Constitution gets changed (probably not).
