Glutamine LOADING.. ?

I was just reading gregnb and asking him in his journal about his "glutamine refeeds." He said he takes 30g per day on refeed days. Would this be a good idea. I have read about this before just never really thought anything of it. Seems like a good idea. Maybe creatine loading on refeed days too, I dont know.

... Or loading with creatine on my refeed days.

I haven't heard much about glutamine loading. I personally wouldn't think of it as a necessary thing to do, because one's able to get a lot of glutamine through whole food protein sources, as well as through their protein powders.
The only time I think it's beneficial to take glutamine at high doses is when one's on a calorie deficient diet, and needs to preserve lean muscle tissue. Then 25+ grams per day would be a necessary action.
 
Supp loading seems like a waste of $$$. I did try loading creatine a long long long time ago. And I saw my creatine everytime I pissed! :mad:

So I say don't "load" any supps. That doesn't mean you can't adjust your intake of supps. I just don't think one week of doubling or tripling the amount you take will work except for a little bit of your $$$ getting pissed away.

I'd suggest doing a increased amount of either supp for a few weeks. Cycle off. Then cycle on at the recommended amount. Note if there was a major, minor, or no difference.
