Glass in your a$$

I made my fina a while back and had a 18 gauge needle to do it. I got to wondering what would happen if you used a larger gauge when doing something from an amp and got small fragments of glass in there. I often see small fragments from my Omnadren, but never gave it much thought. This is not a real serious question, just wondered if it would break down or what??

I guess I got to much time on my hands.

one time i almost shot a piece of glass into myself by accident.
for some reason the pin seemed clogged or something, i fugured it was just the thick omna oil. finally i got all the fluid through, but then efter i filled the pin with alcohol and tried pushing it through to see if there had been a problem with the needle and all of a sudden a tiny piece of glass shot out like a bullet!!
I am one lucky bastard, that could have been a bad situation.

They found in corpses small fragments of glass in their lung tissue due to not using filtered needles when using amps. So hospitals gave in and started using filtered needles. I guess the glass travels in your system someway somehow. They found glass (in the ass) and in the lungs as well.

So what was the cause of death? I mean did they die of something else and the coroner found shards of glass, or was it proven conslusively that the glass caused death? Is it possible to have glass migrate to your lungs and be asymptomatic?

I don't see a few small fragments of glass killing anyone. Does anyone else know something about this? I am even more curious now.

I am not at all worried, just wonder what would happen. I use small gauge, 25-23. I was looking to see if anyone knew something about this, for conversations sake.

The only way glass could enter the lung would be through the blood stream. IV bottles were once made of glass and McGaw labs did have a problem in the early 70’s with glass shavings in the IV solutions, hence all IV bottles are now plastic.

I believe that if you injected a small piece of glass in to your muscle, nothing serious would happen. The Worst would be an infection & abscess forcing the glass out of your body.
