Go buy one of those triangular files and file around the edges and then pop it off

I just use a metal nail file, score the edge, and crack it off. Perfect every time...

Don't waste your time getting anything to open them. Like sirp and marx said, they snap clean after scoring them just a little

are you all kidding? all you have to do is hold the bottom in one hand and pop it off. you can use hand towels to hold it so you don't cut yourself. there is no need for buying anything.

i used a file this morning and scored the shit out of one for like five minutes and when i popped it off it still looked like someone smacked a beer bottle on the wall and broke the neck off. LOL
but its all good because its all in my ass cheek now

these don't break by just using the hands. My buddy said he tried opening one last week, and just could not snap it, and he said he was putting all his force into it. When he eventually did the whole thing just bust.

I hope your buddy is planning a stout strength cycle - if he couldn't even snap an amp with all his force!

Cman, try a using a pen cap. Slip it over the top and use it as a lever to snap it off.

if you dont have a file get a bic pen cap and slide it over the top and that will give you moer leverage to break that sucker off, never had any problems like that accept on these prop. amps one time that i swear were made out of bullet proof glass.

I used to score them with a file, but discovered it works just as well without scoring.

Using a hand towel to keep the broken edges from cutting my fingers, I just hold the amp with one (towel-protected) hand and snap off the top with my other (towel-protected) hand.

No hand tools required!

the only problem is he tried doing the towel method and could not break it, I tried also and nothing and Iput everything into it. The one he did break after 10 minutes shattered, and could not be used. Doesn't want this to happen again.
