Girl's Weight loss diet

Hey Bros,
My sister is looking to lose weight and was wondering if anyone has any good plans (she goes to the gym about 2-3 days a week doing cardio and weights on alternating days)...she is looking to lose about 30-40 pounds in total. What type of diet should she be doing?
 
What is her weight and size?
You should put this on the womens board also they may help her a little better.
 
I am not exactly sure, but she is 5'8", like 180 (I think).. she doesn't eat 5 or 6 meals a day (more like 3 or 4) and I keep telling her she should, and she doesn't eat breakfast either. I tell her that b-fast is good to get your betabolism working but she says she doesn't like to eat breakfast :confused: she could probably take protein shakes between meals to replace a couple, would that be a good idea for a girl? a good meal plan would be greatly appreciated :D
 
Take a look at the sticky at the top of the page by Mr.X. He has a few diets in it that may help her out.

I would say she should be eating around 1800 or 1700 Cal's a day if she wants to lose weight.
Her Protein,Carbs,Fat should be around:

Pro - 225 at 1800 cals - 212.5 at 1700 cal's
carb's - 135 at 1800 cal's - 127.5 at 1700 cal's
fat - 40 at 1800 cal's - 37.77 at 1700 cal's

That's at a 50/30/20 per day.

anyone else have some opinions or advice?? a daily meal plan that would take in 1700-1900 cal's would be perfect, thanks :D
 
well.. this is on the women's board, a moderator must have put it over there... :p
