Gin and Juice...

I was an ET (Electronics Tech).

I spent 6 years in (minimum for ET) and was stationed on shore duty in Hawaii for 4 of the 6 years.

Wow, I actually have a thread dedicated to me :D

Hell, they change the rate designations so often I can't keep up.

I suggest not going with MM. Too much manual labor and not a lot of technical trainng.

I don't remember what IT is, but I'm guessing that it is one of those newly formed rates that combined several of the older ones?

I suggest going for something more technical..... but you may be promoted faster if you go a non-tech route (like MM)

IT is computers.

Now THAT sounds interesting....... especially in a special forces application!

Hell yeah, I'd go for that one. However, one of the drawbacks for the SEALs are that they don't work in their rate very much. That could hurt you when you go take your advancement tests.

But, as you know.... the SEALs get special points and a different scale for advancement, so it might not be an issue.

Yeah, plus the school now gives you over 15 college credits for attending the "A" school. When I get tired of the action, then I'll be an officer...HA, HA, HA!!!
