GH prescription

It use to be relatively easy to get a prescription for serostim but now you have to be HIV positive to get a prescription and you can only get it at certain specified pharmacies. Does anyone know what the deal is with other makers of GH like Nutropin or Humatrope? Any doctors out there that know what reasons these drugs could be prescribed for? - cbeaks

In southern California it is cheaper to buy growth on the street, than at the drug store with a prescription, unless you can convince you MD that you have a "wasting deseise" and your insurance will cover it.

I have very good insurance and I know for a fact it covers GH but it won't cover serostim in particular unless I am HIV positive.

unless you have cancer, AIDS (or any other wasting disease), or you very small for your age you're gonna have some trouble getting a script and getting it covered.....

I am a little surprised to hear that you can get GH prescribed for cancer. I thought it increased the spread of cancer.
