Getting the foot in the door...

First, I would like to thank everyone for contributing to the load of information available on this site. Researching it has provided a lot of information but I am still left with a few specific questions.

Current Stats:
25 years old, 5'10", 180 pounds, 8.5% Bodyfat

Not so quick background:
As a teenager I played football and usaully hovered around 190 pounds (~15-18% Bodyfat) thanks to frequent haphazard lifting and a miserable approach to diet and sleep. Around age 18 I got hooked on a rather intense endurance sport that I managed to compete at the semi-professional level. I trained hard year round which consisted of 20-25 hours a week of hard cardio and 3-5 hrs a week in the weight room. Needless to say I was skinny as hell (145 pounds, 5-7% bodyfat), but my goal was speed and an impressive strength to weight ratio. I learned a lot regarding training, recovery, and diet. I walked away from the sport as I found myself becoming less interested and having more fun in the gym. The gym has become a sincere passion of mine. Over the last 4 months I managed to add 35 pounds and only 1-2% raise in body fat (not that impressive but alot of people have noticed and complimented). I attribute this to HARD work in the gym, lots of sleep, strict attention to diet and absolutely no additional "supplements". Moving on...

I have researched AAS in the past but from an ethical standpoint decided not to partake as I was competing and felt it would be cheating and I was routinely tested. Now that I am not competing I feel that as long as I am aware of the potential risks and benefits it is a my choice to give it a go. I plan on waiting a while because I am still experiencing pretty good gains naturally but figured it wouldn't hurt to research so that I am prepared when the day comes. On with the questions...

Goals:
Pure, unadulterated vanity. I am body building for muscle. I want to look and feel like a force to be reckoned with. Strength is secondary, my goal is to maximize my physique.

1. My research has me leaning towards an 8-10 week cycle of Deca at 300mgs a week. I will stack it with Proviron at 50mgs a day. I will have Nolva on hand to prevent any sides should they manifest and for PCT. I chose Deca for its tendency to add quality, maintainable muscle with a reasonable degree of side-effect risk. The Proviron is to avoid any aromatization and hopefully thwart the not-so-fun "Deca dick". Sound like I am on the right track here?

2. Sources, I know this is I touchy subject but I am not looking for sources. I would like to get an idea of where to go to research and find sources. I have ruled out a local connection because it just doesn't seem to be around. I have found some websites that offer to provide lists of well-researched, reputable sources but require a membership. Are these legit and are they worth the fee? Also, I have found some domestic sites that offer to provide an actual prescription online. This seems to me to be the safest way but also seems to good to be true so I am skeptical. If I am off track please provide me with some info that will allow me to make an informed and safe decision. As for using this site...there seems to be a sharp division of two groups. "Group A" a clueless bunch of fucktards who openly ask for sources and annoy the piss out of "Group B", the informed guys who have established sources but intelligently decline to openly provide this info. Where do I start when looking to educate myself regarding the safest means possible of attaining my stuff? If this question is not in compliance with the forum rules let me know and I will edit it immediately.

That may be considered asking for a source, so maybe delete that part of the post.

BBF, I grew up a good ways away from College Station.

Diamond, I am not really asking for sources, I am seeking generalizations. I would like to be pointed in the right direction so I that I can do some research and make an informed decision when it comes time to pick a source. Regarding the cycle...I realize I could add more to the stack (Dbol or Test) and gain more mass but I would like to keep my first cycle modest. From what I understand adding Test or Dbol would increase the intensity of sides and a lot of the extra gains would be hard to maintain post cycle.
