Getting paid to Golf!

mountain muscle said:
You know Scots, even rigs have a weight limit. I bet they don't allow you on the floor again.

What did you break this time?

LOL, I wasn't even on deck. Well we're on a drillmec g55 and first the jib boom crane broke, then the tongs wouldn't swing in and out, then we twisted off and had to fish, and today we jammed downhole and parted the string with a 90K overpull.

PM- that could be arranged for a discount probably.

KB- don't even front on the oft man our kung fu is strong!

BM- ol grump probably has the keys to the v-door.

Cheers,

Was knocking the crap out of some balls today while we are waiting for our drill rig to get fixed. Managed to hit some 200+ yard shots with a 4-iron. Not bad since this is the second time in my life I have ever tried doing it. Most shots were pretty shitty but I won three accuracy contests at 100yds.

Since we are on standby I am getting paid to golf. This is the closest I will ever make it to turning pro.LOL And I figure hell I'm in Scotland might as well do some golfing.

You skirt wearing smackass. You owe me pictures of the country side and you're out playing golf??? :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

200+ with a 4 iron is damn good for being your second time.

I dont hit my long irons much, most of the courses around are fairly short. all I need is my Driver, 60* lob wedge, and putter.

Shit I do, I'll work on that today!

You still  me though, right? :worried:

Nick- I was pretty happy with it, I have a hard time swinging around my own bulk right now so I can only do a three quarter swing, but I plan on working on it. You should make it over here there are courses everywhere (duh since it's the national sport).

Scotland is also the home of billiards, have you tried any of that?

I have played at The Breckenridge Golf Club course in Breckenridge before.

In CO the ball stays in the air MUCH longer than here.

My family is wanting to take a vacation to CO somewhere in a couple weeks, kind of like the last vacation when my parents and the 3 brothers will be able to be together for a vacation. I dont know if I am able to get off work yet. But told everyone if I can't fit my golf clubs in the vehicle for the trip up there, then I wasn't going go. But I might drive seperate.
I'll keep you up to date

Actually yes I have but it's been a long time. I want to give snooker a try while I'm over here.

Nick- I'll be in Scotland for the next couple of months so I'll have to catch you next time.

BTW I put three balls over a 7' wall at 220yds today with a 3 wood. Not sure what the exact distance would be because we couldn't find the balls in the cow pasture on the other side of the wall.LOL
