Getting a minor

Does anyone know whether the acquisition of minor after you finish college is automatic if you take more than 15 credits of that field, or it depends on the school and the type of minor you are going for?

It depends on the school and field you're going for. My minor in political science requires 24 credit hours. Some require less, maybe some more.
