the F4i is going to have a more rigid chassis on it. i don't think it's going to be as forgiving as an F4 or F3. plus the seat....ugh. feels like a brick wrapped in material. you can always replace it with something else, but damn, it hurts. the fuel injection is a big bonus though.
the F4 is going to be stiffer than the F3, but it's reasonably forgiving. by forgiving i mean that you can easily alter your line in a turn to "save your ass." i've had to do that a few times, and the F4 doesn't seem to mind, it just looks up at you and says "oh, ok, we're going this way now? no prob..." that's something that testers have raved about with the CBR 600s for years.
i've ridden the F3, and it feels like a caddilac compared to the F4. it's not slower though. the ergos are a bit different, you feel like you're sitting higher, but it wasn't bad on me (i'm 5'6"). it's just about every bit as fast as the F4, as i've taken it head to head with a buddy that had one. it doesn't feel as powerful, but it moves good, and handles well. the speedo on either bike tops out at 170mph, but it's an actual 156 or so. at a certain point, the F4 will pull away from the F3 slightly, maybe around 100-110mph, still nothing for the F3 to be ashamed of. it's still very fast.
the nice thing about the F series bikes is they're good through all stages of riding. good for beginners and good for going FAST. the R6 might be a better track bike, but the Fs have it all the way around, good at everything. i've put a couple 1600+ mile trips on mine, split over 2 days, it's rough, but i imagine the R6, GSXR, or the F4i would've been much worse with their slightly more aggressive seating position (and the F4i's rock hard seat).
just my $0.02 on all of this. hope it helps. good luck, keep the rubber side down.
