I have a friend who has a lesbian sister. This girl has a "life partner," who she has been with for 6 years. SHe is the type of feminist, liberal, in your face person who will do things just to show the world that she can.

So . . . she and her life partner have decided to have a child. They have to decided to take the egg from one woman, fertilize it, and then plant it in the other, so that both women have a "piece" of themselves in the baby. That is cool, I can repect that.

Now, the kicker, is that they have chosen to use the sperm from a black man to fertilize the egg. Even that would be fine, but it really just seems like they are doing it kin of as a show, to show the world that they're so "open-minded."

I know this will draw controversy, but I think it is just plain cruel to bring a child into this world that has two mothers and no father, and is mixed race. Especially when it is done to further the mothers' personal agendas (or so it seems).

It's hard enoug to explain to a child why it has two mommies, but how do you explain to a child why it is half black, when neither of its parents are black?

This just really bothers me.

Exactly. The girl's mother, (my friend's mother), has totally accepted everything they are doing. Or at least she pretends to accept it. The funny thing is, I think it kinda bothers them that she's not putting up a fight.

ive got a friend who has two moms. Really cool guy, was one of the head boys at my highschool. Oh, and lets not forget he got a $16,000 scholarship to an awesome school in Canada... i think its safe to say he turned out alright.

Also it seems like girls LOVE half-black half-white guys, so i mean if he's pulling tons of snatch, i doubt he'll care what other ppl think (plus the kids will have so much respect for him, and wont bug him, much like people had respect for my friend and never said anything)

also when you think about it, you were only conceived so your parents could have a child and pass on their genes. When they were having sex that night trying to concieve you, i doubt they were thinking how hard it is and how much money it costs to bring up a kid, they just knew they wanted one.
