George - we need a Flame-Fest Room

txlonghorn had the original concept, and i'm just expounding on it.

How about a flame-fest room?

it would give everyone a chance to sharpen their flaming abilities while adding some fun to the site.

this way, maybe people will refrain from flaming so quickly in real, honest question type threads because they got it off their back already.

and, then when you have two people getting into an argument that is o/t from the original thread, they can say "i challenge you to a flame" and you can create some smilies that are like little dueling dudes.

but you'd have to make it open for everyone to watch the flames, no private flame fests. just like the old days when everyone would sit on the porch to watch the guys duel in the street.

just a thought.

and again... it was txlonghorn idea. so if any triple threat protein is awarded, give it to him.

more ideas on the flame board:

that would give your moderators yet another board to move threads to. so when it turns to a flame fest, they can just move it over there with out telling anybody like they usually do.

also, how about flame contests for supplements. you could ask anyone who wants to enter to enter, then have it set up as a single elimination contests (because there was no double elimination in the old days) and have either the members judge or the mods judge.

its a very bad idea. isnt it obvious what would happen if we got a room just for flaming? it wouldnt be fun. the mom jokes would get old and then they probably would restrict the trash talking here.

fuzz nutz has a point.. i rescind my request for a flame fest board. besides, with the new tyrants sporting their shiny new mod badges, everything would get deleted or edited anyhow... and he's right, it just wouldn't be as fun as to do it in a forum that it's meant for.

It's a great idea, wish I had thought of it first. NOW GO FUCK YOUR SELF J/K J/K J/K. One idea that could make it work would not even allow the mod's to delete on that one chat room. Only George should be the one to ride shot gun on that room. Other than that it's a go on my end. I think it would clean up some area's on the board and put it where it belongs. If you don't like reading flames you don't have to go there. Mods could move flaming materials to that room and would be their only power over it. George this should be done, it would be kinda fun.
