Lets say I cook a burger that has 29 grams of fat and 28 grams of protein. How much fat drips off and into the pan. Does any protein get lost?

Not very much.............I think the GF Grill is more for convenience than cutting any fat. It think it's mostly ater that runs off, and a little bit of fat.

I'm thinking about 4-6g fat, not more.

It shouldn't affect the protein.

I use it daily, and i think i see a lot more than 4-6 grams drip out... but that's just me.

I keep saying it.... but the Foreman Grill SUCKS compared to a vertical griller.

Vertical grillers are far superior to anything I've ever seen. Just seems they're not available in many places.

They're kinda like a big toaster, with heating elements on both sides (like a toaster) and you sandwich your meat or whatever in between a folding metal grill thing and slide it in. Since it's vertical, a lot more fat drips of.... unlike the Foreman Grill, which doesn't have enough of a decline, and most of it doesn't drip off, but just sits there and fries the meat.

Look around for a vertical griller, or something similar to what I've described.... in Australia, I've had no problem finding them. But when I was in Canada, I couldn't find one anywhere. And others in North America who I've spoken to, can't seem to find them either. But trust me.... they're superior to Foreman Grills in every possible way.

Other thing I always wondered was how much of the fat that comes out is saturated as opposed to unsaturated. I know (especialy with ground red meat) that I will get a crapload of saturated fat in the drop tray (shit that hardens once it reaches room temp) but I wonder how much of the liquid is unsaturated and what is just water.

I could not personally live without my Foreman grill. I use it 2-4 times a day for chicken, ground sirloin, and steak. It's made me the beast I am today!!! It makes cooking up my meat a cake walk. 8min NY Strips!!! I love that thing.
