Genital herpes question.

One of my friend told me that once you get those genital herpes , you will live with them for ever as there is

no real cure for them. Is that right?

Is there a way to find out, efore one has sex , if the other party have genital herpes? Can you see them?

No cure, only treatment. The only way you could tell if someone had it is if they had an outbreak at the time you were looking. Outbreaks do not occur all the time, some peoples outbreaks are rare. Yet they always carry the virus. If you have sex with someone with herpes you are not guaranteed of catching it.
