Please Scroll Down to See Forums Below Hi guys , I would like to ask you if genes play a roll on side effects when you are running steroids, my buddy and I are running deca and test ate the same dose and we are both taking hcg also the same dose, being on week 8 out of 16 I started feeling early gyno symptoms and my balls changed size a bit and he is just fine zero sides, why is that maybe his genes respond better to sides than mine?

I would rather say that it is more a matter of luck, although genetics do play a role too. The bad thing with side effects is that they are unpredictable. You may run one cycle now, and have no side effects at all, but then you can run the exact same cycle later, and get all of the side effects. Therefore, to a great extent it is a matter of luck.
As for your cycle, are you taking an AI and cabergoline? Also, HCG is a terrible compound to run, both on cycle, and off cycle, as it is a form of estrogen, and it can cause a lot of side effects.

First off - stop taking the HCG. No wonder you are experiencing side effects. Test and deca are both estrogenic steroids. Add in HCG and that's a recipe for disaster. HCG is a form of estrogen after all.
Remember to include the proper support supplements with your cycle:
1. An AI to keep estrogen in the low-normal range. Aromasin at 10mg EOD is a good dosage.
2. An anti-prolactin drug to keep prolactin in the low-normal range. Cabergoline at 0.25mg EOD is a good dosage.
The support supplements are very important because high estrogen and prolactin levels can lead to side effects like gyno and water retention.

The thing is that steroids are only a small part of the equation. There are so many things going on such as diet, training, genetics, etc. Yes, you might be more estrogen sensitive. It is the same when some guys need an AI with their TRT while others don't.
