generic arimidex

Anybody know the name of generic arimidex, I called the pharmacy to get my script filled and they told me the price and I about shit in my pants. They told me they they donot make a generic arimidex but I know this isn't true...anybody know the name of the drug which I speak?

Asking for generic arimidex at a pharmacy is like asking for IP products. The only arimidex they offer is astra zenica (sp?). However, there are underground manufacturers of anastrozole (active compound in arimidex)

liquidex is cheaper thanarmidex... but serves exact same purpose

Arimidex is a relatively new drug so the patent won't be up for quite some time (I think it's 7 years before a generic can be produced by other companies). Pharmacies will only have Arimidex and nothing else.
