I like the avatar rule- but the offensive pictures shouldn't be a problem if there's a sufficient warning and introduction so people can choose not to look at the picutres if htey dont want to.

It's one thing to be forced to look at an offensive picture- as in an avatar- it's quite another to click on a thread with the title: don't look at this it's gross.

I agree that one shouldn't be forced to look at imagery they might find offensive. That's why the banners here at EF make perfect sense. Completely and totally logical. 100% without any flaw in that reasoning whatsoever. Okay, I'm done.

Actually, I think that one was so far LESS than offensive it was almost TOO non-offensive. Kind of like the way an acid can burn your skin if you come into contact with it, so logically substances having a PH on the other end of the spectrum shouldn't be harmful. But that's wrong since bases can burn you too. Think about it.
