Gear For A Friend

Ok, I posted this in the Law forum but haven't got any responses yet....probably because it's Saturday....but I'm looking for some feedback so maybe I can get some on this board too.

My friend wanted me to pose this question for Rick, or any of the law gurus. If my friend ordered gear for a friend that was an overseas order, and the gear was tagged by customs at the border and the order is confiscated. So now he and his friend are out of luck. His friend is now claiming that he should pay him back the money that his friend gave to him for the order that never arrived. This guy is also claiming, jokingly...but maybe not, that he is going to tell the police that he tried to sell this guy steroids. My question is, if this guy does go to the police and say that this guy was trying to sell him steroids, what kind of authority do the police have in this matter? Could they just show up and question? Or could they get a warrant for a search based upon this one guys claim that he was trying to sell to him?

As long as there is no money trace that your friend’s friend can show to cops, most likely cops will not want to get involved. In case they do get involved your friend should just tell them that he does not know of any deals. I hope you body is not a 250lb freak, since it would be more difficult to hid.

Hope this helps

the risks should be explained to your custpomers that they may lose a oredr, it fucking happens. point blank. any way as long as your firdn didnt accept this guys m,oney via credit card or check, it is all his word against your friends, now in situations like rape or murder this may play a great factor, but in a one time deal siatuation your boy is cool.

unless of course the phone call in anonayms and he is reported as adrug dealer, than whaoi, the cops will not be able to run up in their with a search warrant but be sure a investigation undercover operation will definately be persued. it all depends on the avenue this other guy takes in telling his story, if he says he tried to buy steroids and never got the money, nothign will happen. if he makes that anonamys pphone call, your friend better be clean.

it shouldnt even come down to this

the source and the customer need to meet halfway.

give half the money back and give free shipping on the next order

the one friend should have been prepared to lose all his money in the first place. that is the first rule in this game "only spend what you can afford to lose". number two the guy who ordered should clean house and computer just in case. there is no way the police could nail him for a package that was already confiscated. it is not like they could do a controlled delivery. he already knows it was jacked.
